Oh I see. When you say signal provider it means you mirror all your trades to follow the provider? Is it reliable in making profit?
*
Yes, you mirror signal provider like what they have in zulutrade or myfxbook except that kcr charges for their professional service. As with any trading, there is element of risk and profit is not guaranteed. They take 30% of net profits based on higher watermark, so there is incentive for them to make sure your account value continue to ratchet up else no income for them. I'm quite new to it, so far is making profits for last 2 weeks but the jury is still out there. Key to reliably making profit per signal provider performance is to get broker that able to track signal provider performance accurately hence I need good ECN broker.

Wow, very nice rclxms.gif But why do you need a broker to track the signal provider's performance? Isn't it in their best interest to make you profit as you've said? And naturally if they're not good then your profits also won't be good right? So why need to track with another broker?  rclxub.gif

Or maybe you think they might be lying to you about your profits? hmm.gif
*
Ha, you got confused doh.gif What I meant by "track" is not for broker to make sure signal provider performs but rather the performance of the broker able to mimic the performance of signal provider. By the time buy/sell signal reach your broker, they take some time to execute it and it also depends on how good is their liquidator, there will be slippage. How big is the slippage will determine how good is your broker.

For example, when I used HiWayFX, after 130 trades, my profits in pips is 157.5, signal is 267.3. there is a difference of -109.8 or average of -0.85 pips per trade. This is not good. With my new broker Sensus, after 91 trades, my profits in pip is 1529.4, signal is 1560.7, there is difference of -31.3 or average -0.35 pips. Although the performance of two broker was at different dates but it was consistent after I compare with their performance during demo account earlier. My mistake was not to wait for monthly trade report from signal provider before choosing the live broker. If I did, I would have known which broker is better. I decided then based on convenience in opening account, funding options and charges, web portal interface etc.

Ok, my bad sweat.gif But wow, you seem to making some serious pips thumbup.gif So would you recommend your signal provider? I've seen their track record, it was booming at first but now it's kinda stagnant?
*
Sorry la, me is new to it, just went live for 2 weeks but this is month is volatile and thin, so they are reducing risk now and probably will suspend trading for last part of the month. Come back to me in couple of months and see if I'm able to recommend. Some of my friends are waiting for my results as well.

Be extremely careful with which broker you choose. 95% of them out there are market makers and not ecn/stp as they claim to be...best is you search out forepeacearmy reviews or myfxbook before you choose icon_rolleyes.gif
*
How do you identify true ECN/STP or fake one? In my opinion, it has also got to do with the liquidity provider that they are using since the trades supposedly pass thru. Some broker may just use bad liquidity providers hence bad spread and slippage.

That's the trouble, hard to indentify sweat.gif Right now I'm just going with ICMarkets as they claim to be a true ecn broker. How true this is, I don't know rolleyes.gif But at least their spreads are really thin because they have 50 liquidity providers and most reviews about them are favourable.

Looks good. Is their $3.50 commission is for round trip or half?

I was hoping you went live there, get some data points on their performance. Give me more options if I need to search for alternate broker in future.

All failsafe mechanism not functioning due to this liquidity problem. Now have to start all over again.

Does not really matter which broker as I heard that this is affecting lots of broker. I'm on ECN account and it is all pass through to liquidating banks.

After my account at old broker went negative 2 weeks ago, I went life on ICMarkets. I'm quite delighted as the slippage is mostly positive compared to signal provider. Anyway my old broker got back to me today that I might recover some of my money as they are getting their liquidator to take the blame due to unreasonable closing price on that day.
