Check the wiki page of Wilfried Bony, one interesting point is he went to Liverpool on trial 7 years ago but not offered contract.

For what it's worth, I think Bony is a decent striker, even a good i reckon. Last season was his first season in the league so a little inconsistency was to be expected. I really do like him as a player as he's a got a bit of everything; decent touch and technique , good movement, physical presence and a powerful shot. I reckon he will be even better this season now that he's got a taste of the league.

Decent yes. But 20mil? Hmm...too steep for an asking price of his quality.

Fans can get fixated on a certain players to a point they will go into RAGE mode when opinions don't flow into their train of thoughts. And Yes, we do have a name for them.

Bony might not be the star name you are looking for but honestly I can't think of any strikers capable of replacing Suarez that we can realistically attract/buy. Bony is a very underrated player and will be a very good buy AT THE RIGHT PRICE. Seems everyone wants to rip us off these days. The overpricing of English players mentality doesn't seem to only apply to English players. Smaller English clubs seem to overcharge every time a fellow English club comes enquiring about their player.

Lovren & Bony both very good players but priced way too high at the moment. Bony reminds me of the way Drogba destroyed our defence. Drogba wasn't really a high volume scorer but he is very effective. Maybe BR is looking to add this element to our strikeforce.

Don't think there's any striker in the world who is playing at Suarez's level now...apart from CR7 and Messi maybe. Not even James Rodriguez comes close.

I know what you mean but players value tend to increase. This is especially true for players like Bony who's at his peak and had decent season with a club not in need to sell. Swansea bought him for 12 so they will want to be reasonably compensated at say 15-20mil. But like Cloud said, everyone knows we have money to burn so they will mostly likely sell at the maximum value.

I don't think Benzema is impossible target. There is rumor that RM is trying to sign Falcao. If RM sign Falcao, very likely Benzema will be on the move.

I do believe that there is no one can directly replace Suarez at this moment but we should look for a player who is better than Sturridge as Suarez replacement. Unfortunately I rate Bony lower than Sturridge but better than Borini and Lambert. I don't mind him coming to replace Borini at the right price but he is definitely not good enough to replace Suarez.
