I think those who have changed their DNS before can access the site.

But yeah, someone is trying to block it.

Weird though, if the government really think it's illegal then wouldn't they ask them to shut down instead of just blocking us from accessing it?

Need more clarifications I guess.

Most probably due to our government assumption which is Bodybuilding Supplements = Steroids. You know those kind of mentality.

If you never change your DNS setting before, you might be using UNIFI DNS at it will block the site. Use google DNS to by pass that.

Either way, it's sure a bad business for Musclemania.

Work of GNC? I can see that GNC been promoting some silly pricing since 2 months ago to compete with MuscleMania and also educating their staff to told customer that the MuscleMania supplement are counterfeit while they selling theirs cheap and have no profit because the counterfeit is taking over their originals' market (total bullshiet because i have yet to see Nike, Adidas etc etc lower their shoes price just because Jalan Petaling has tons of A class counterfeit)

It's being blocked due to the sale of unregistered products. Anything that is capsule/tablet based and now the latest FDI (Food-Drug Interphase) ingredients. I believe other such website will be blocked too or monitored.

The main product causing problem here is Oxyelite Pro. This product appeared in http://portal.bpfk.gov.my/newsmaster.cfm?&...&retrieveid=344

Before MMC, few supplement sellers has been visited by MOH. I believe Binabadan.com was also warned on selling unregistered products. They cleaned their act i guess but not with these new FDI ruling.

Latest regulation are introduced on certain ingredients and this makes importing powdered supplement hard too. Powdered supplement like Mutant Rehab, GABA and other pre-wrokout in powdered form which were legal are now illegal to sell as it may contains Glucosamine, GABA, Natto Extract, Red Rice Yeast, Resveratrol, Placenta, Bile (Animal Pak), and Glutathione as well Yohimbe extract. (Hydroxycut Elite powder, Jack3D)

These ingredients are now known as FDI (Food Drug Interphase). A new way of making money by MOH. All products containing any of these ingredients need to be registered now. http://portal.bpfk.gov.my/newsmaster.cfm?&...&retrieveid=412

Future resellers/buyers really need to be aware and check supplement facts for these ingredients before importing.

This is absolutely preposterous.

There're a few possible ways to interpret it... I want to consume GABA and die off in the process, why would someone care.

1. The agencies are being benevolent, caring for the society's health, in the process aiding in reducing public healthcare expenditure and an alleviating an overly congested public healthcare system.

2. Or you're afraid that those having superior knowledge, access to, and $ to buy performance enhancing supplements will be a threat to the rest of the population.

3. Purely monetary reasons, including taxation, and benefiting a few well-connected corporations.

totally unaware of that, will edit the post, but seriously i think GNC is taking those seller seriously as i can see how they keep doing offer on various protein product to compete with them, so i'm not surprise that they might take whatever legal act that meant to bring those seller down for their own benefit so we consumer need to suffer their ridiculous price.

You guys can still call them you know? And the last time I went to their shop 2 weeks ago, it was still open with crazy amount of supplement stocks. They really take care of their customers.

And no they're not paying me to advertize or say this. I appreciate good service when I see it and am very loyal to supplement shops who deliver what they claim and don't hesitate to recommend their services to other people.

I guess a better way could be to issue public health warnings instead? hmm.gif

Unless it's proven to be a health hazard, then by all means ban it.
