The reason to get T1/E1 service is because you want reliability and are willing to pay for it.

T1/E1 is not particularly fast (roughly the same speeds you can get with DSL from TM) but normally comes with a SLA guaranteeing certain levels of performance.

If you just want speed, you'll probably be better off getting a bunch of DSL lines.

T1 upwards are recently used by some university in our country. USM got 32Mbps. i heard that UPSI will get 45Mbps or something higher if not mistaken.

Sad, innit? My university had 45mb/s in 1988, before most of the USM students were even born. Last I heard they now have 3gb/s.

In other countries people have 45mb/s in their homes for RM100/month; here in Malaysia it has to be shared among 20,000 students.
