Nike's workmanship, finishing and textile specs are better than adidas. Their design work is also good with more smaller details than other brands.
Source, am in the textile industry.
Both united and nike lose big time with this announcement. If a deal with Adidas falls through, then warrior will most likely spend big to come in. If that time comes, i will never, buy another United jersey. Scarves and other items not made by them still ok.
A birdy whispered that Uniqlo might be interested, but most likely for knitted products only.
Agreed. In terms of quality, Nike > Adidas. Pretty obvious here. Adidas jerseys feels like a plain polyester only while Nike ones has this 'micro bumps' on their jersey, it is not completely 'smooth'. Hence it is thicker and studier.

oooo ... seriously?
I thought Adidas already tabled a bid? Nike dropped out because they didn't want to match the bid?

Please noooooooo .... not Warrior .......

Maybe they are unwilling to part with that much of $. Nike's loss really, they are losing market share in terms of sponsored teams, most importantly in the most watched league in the world, BPL. The current Nike sponsored team for last season were: United, City, Everton and Arsenal. Next season, is only left United and City, Everton went to Umbro and Arsenal to Puma. After the next season? City alone? lol.
To be honest, I dont mind Umbro but I doubt they have the financials to match Adidas/Puma. Umbro is a Manchester brand, feels like a 'local' brand..you know what I mean. The new Everton kit looks decent.. as compared to Warrior's kit *cough* space invaders*
