The methods mentioned above can actually be done but just 2-3 mouse clicks
What other shortcut are you expecting? Clap your hands and get all the history cleared?

And back to the topic, yeah I think CCleaner is a very good proggie. It used to have problem with Firefox+LYN (wherein LYN layout will go weird after I clear the Firefox history). But seems like it's been fixed in the newer versions
