Try to see after you moved in all your belongings, is it you will feel still big enough? brows.gif don't easily distorted by developer marketing strategy.

I never against the people buy SOHO in Cyberjaya, who know one day in future SOHO become hot and competitive product in Cyberjaya?

However, my advice is please make sure the SOHO you buy is always one of most decent (时尚), prosperous (旺),right location (风水)and will be within the top range of Cyberjaya attractive spots in future. Since SOHO products is quite a lot in Cyberjaya, more preparation works is needed actually.

Judge it yourselves and no ultimate measurement solution actually.

I think SOHO is for one night stand. Let's say clubbing below. After that just go up and get it out. brows.gif

Self stay - OK la to resolve the problem of accommodation and also limited capital as entry point into real estate.
Rental - 20K-30K units VP in next few years, how much can you ask for rental?

for the same price u can get bigger service apartment in Kajang, near to LRT

If u wanna invest here in CBJ, u do not need affirmation from strangers in LYN

Just do want u want - its your money

But if u ask for opinions, I believe majority > 50% + 1 will advice u AGAINST

seriously? but i feel it's ideal for new couple, no? sad.gif

how big should a first house be? as it will be our 二人世界 house until we plan to go further(as in getting a baby, which is too early for now).

at that point i might plan to sell off this house and get a bigger one,

but for the time being, affordability is a major issue, but this is quite decent at the area i'm interested to be, as MIGHT be working there

Ya if you imagine based on show unit sure enough one, the size is like a standard hotel room. But in real life not like that, because:

Hotel
1) You only bring clothes for a few days.
2) You send your dirty clothes to laundry or wash them at home.
3) You only bring 1-2 pairs of shoes.
4) You only bring some snacks.
5) Room service will clean your room daily.
6) You don't cook because you have your breakfast at the hotel's cafe, lunch and dinner at a nearby restaurant.
7) You read newspapers and use your laptop on the desk.
8) Your gf spend the morning in front of the beautiful makeup table so she can hang out with you in her most beautiful look.
9) You take bubble bath with your gf.
10) The room is cool and comfort because you leave the aircon on for whole day.
11) In the evening you and your gf take a walk around the pool and use all the facilities like gym, sauna and etc.
12) You hug your gf beside the window at night and look at the stars, the night view of the city and make promises.
13) Before you sleep, you just turn off the lights and TV.
14) If your parents/ friends visit you from far, they can stay over by adding additional beds or just sleep on the box spring.

Soho/ Studio
1) You and your gf need to squeeze all the clothes, bags, towels, underwears into the tiny wardrobe, with an ironing board laying on it and an iron on the floor, and soon all the built-in storage is full and you will have to get those big & ugly storage box from Aeon/ Giant.
2) You need a rack beside the window (which might block the TV) to hang your washed clothes or hang it on the window grille (smell of "Fab"ulous morning "Breeze" all over your unit), and a washing machine either in your bathroom or your kitchen.
3) You will need a shoe rack, which is only a few steps away from your bed, with your dirty shoes on top/ underneath the rack because your gf uses up all the space.
4) Your tiny kitchen cabinet is full of snacks, instant noodles, soy sauce, salt, sugar, milo, canned food, biscuits and a value pack 20-rolls toilet paper on top of the cabinet. Oh ya don't forget the rice cooker, cups, plates, bowls, spoons, forks, chopsticks and other cookwares.
5) You need basic tools to clean your "house", e.g. broom/ vacuum cleaner, dustpan, mop, cloths, cleaning detergents, you will have no choice but to keep those tools in your beautiful toilet.
6) You give your gf a surprise candle light dinner on a tiny table and hope for a happy ending after that, but you and your gf end up changing and washing the bed sheet because the smell of steak is all over it.
7) You can't do much on your desk because there are laptop, mouse, speakers, internet modem, stationery, magazines, books, bills, vouchers, water bottles, snacks, air fresheners, phone chargers and etc with a bag hanging on your chair.
8) The makeup table is basically a pasar malam stall with all types of her renovation tools, cosmetics, skin care products, lotions, combs, perfumes, jewelry, hair dryer, hair curler, hair wax, hair spray and etc.
9) You and your gf don't spend more than 20 minutes in the bathroom because the mop inside the toilet is smelly, sometimes with lizard/ cockroach running around.
10) The electric bill is so expensive so you'll be using electric fan most of the time, oh ya you will need extra space for a table fan because the ceiling fan alone is not enough.
11) You and your gf use the swimming pool/ facilities once or twice a year, because you feel so tired after work and you don't have the mood to do so.
12) You and your gf spend few minutes in front of the window every night, to hang your washed clothes and bath towels.
13) Before you sleep, you need to pack all the rubbish and throw it to the refuse chamber because if you don't the smell of char-kuey-teow that you packed for your dinner will be all over your room and cockroach might disturb you in your sleep.
14) You don't have space to keep the additional mattress and even if you do, there is not much space to lay the mattress.

doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Anyway it's just my opinion and preference.. No offense notworthy.gif

Yep, of about 5-ppl that I know who bought Studio for own stay, ALL regretted for the reasons u pointed out. No amount of ID can make a small studio LARGER. Studio is only good to bring back chicks to BANG. Other than that, if u live alone, always eat out, its still ok but we all get old eventually and want something larger.

3 eventually managed to rent to cover their cost, 1 has to stay cos Market Value is below Acq Cost and 1 sold at a loss.

So beware of Studios.

I like your statement a lot... is too comprehensive man!! rclxms.gif

if between 700sqft and above with some extra space for storing the grocery items is still feasible.

500sqft is really too insane..our country property actually not as "cham" as HK, Singapore... sometimes you no need so "Kang Kor"
