QUOTE(Painfall @ Jul 11 2014, 10:04 AM) more like 5k team pub games against 4k team.really convincing win. QUOTE(SiewKaiz @ Jul 11 2014, 10:04 AM) ddz has been given invoker for a lot of games already. its more like NarVi didn't punish arrow for their 3 midas core lineup. |

just my opinion..
skywrath's skill sets are basically the same now and last time. one of the most important reason why we see a sudden surge in skywrath pick is because of his ridiculous starting 325 move speed (only CK can match with this). this makes him an extremely powerful support / nuker - guaranteed slow, powerful and short cd lv1 nuke, instant silence. and ult that cause havoc in the middle of fights. |

QUOTE(v1n0d @ Jul 14 2014, 12:35 PM) Honest question, why do some of you feel intimidated when invited by higher ranked players? I just started dota this year and had a lot of chances (from recommendation of friends) to play with 4k~5k players. i played a few games with them (mostly as support, sometimes offlane) and always ask their honest opinions. Apparently individual skill is okay - weaker than 4~5k but can still dont feed and get last hits properly, have proper game mechanics knowledge etc. the problem lies in decision making, which you can learn a lot from higher ranked players - when to go in, should we push t3 or let our t1 go, trades, etc. all these you can't really learn by playing with same ranked players / solo queue pubs.IMHO, if they invite you, they're not ashamed to play with you, and you should make the most of it by learning from them. Decision-making is hard to teach, and the best way to develop it is to play together and ask "Why did you do this?" or "Why did you prefer to buy item X over item Y?" Also, a 3k player that queues with a 5k one will meet 4k players on average, and that gives you good experience on what to expect in the next bracket and how to get there. teamfights also is one thing - a lot of fights i thought that we will lose, we won. what i do is basically just follow the team captain's decision making. having 5 people committed to a fight is better than 4 players going in and 1 player running away. tl;dr: playing with higher ranked players increased my decision making significantly, and the peer pressure actually makes me improve much faster than playing random solo queues. |

QUOTE(pspslim007 @ Jul 14 2014, 02:21 PM) Thanks for replying , btw how does the random gift given works actually ? i mean the one that only happens at every end of the game , and also what is socketing for ? when you level ip (battle points) you are guaranteed a loot - common to arcana.after u finish each game, there is a really random chance that you get a loot as well, again - common to arcana. socketing is to put in those gems - inscribed (kills, victories, heroes specific gems, etc), kinetics, mastery, and some other gems. |

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Jul 14 2014, 02:53 PM) everyone keep quiet and i already have enough support already, just want play sniper and the last 3 picks they give me this shiat result. i was expected a solid stun hero like sven or WK those . i have 2.8k mmr, but i always end up in very high skill range (>3,8k average mmr) in normal queue. i had this shitty mmr (2.2k) after calibration because i started ranked too early (rant start here) you know what, i still remember the dialog they said when i pick sniper first, "what, sniper again" "you go do support, i dun support one" then pick QOP. then they 2 pick QOP and axe. QOP fail mid and say line lag. i already geram because of the pick they decided. line lag is another issue (got lag then go fix your line, don't just blame the shitty line) duh. (end of rant) i know sniper people will get counter picked a lot. but then see my death is same with others, in that game i dont die a lot. only when snowballed a lot then i died a lot all the warding i do like mostly 90%, first ward purchased i think is mirana. or don't have ward at all in first 6 minutes. anyway, fail game in 3k range mmr. (but normal match is worst, that's why i still stick in MMR |

QUOTE(v1n0d @ Jul 18 2014, 08:16 AM) Internet in the Philippines is bad in general, so lag/delay would be understandable. For professional play though, delay is a common thing, most online tournaments have teams from various continents, so the average ping is about 150-200ms. I've met a stack of 4 pinoys like few days ago. They were talking in their language through voice and I'm like "okay its just yet another screwed up game pfft." I drafted a void around the 20s (nobody drafted anything yet), and surprisingly they drafted heroes that can synergize a lot with chronosphere - skywrath mage and AA support, viper mid, and an offlaner (I think it was NP)As far as being anti-Pinoy goes, my beef with them is they're mostly too cocky (despite the majority of them being really bad) and hyper-nationalistic. There are good players out there, but they're lost in a sea of idiots. I have Pinoy mates that I play with on a regular basis, but on average it's hard to find one that's not a complete idiot. That game was really fun and exciting because both radiant and dire sides are equally balanced in skill. But the most important thing here - my 4 teammates are willing to use broken English to communicate with me. Yea at first it will be hard to understand, but simple phrases like "fight top!" "we come bot 2 mins" "we has tp, fight fight mid!" was easily understood, and we won the game with decent coordination. I agree that up till now (after around 500 games in SEA server) most pinoys are just living in their own world, blasting music through open mic This post has been edited by l4nc3k: Jul 18 2014, 09:09 AM |

QUOTE(Yoshii-kun @ Jul 20 2014, 02:45 PM) ok heres my decision; DK also chinese team what.. if EG, DK or C9 make it to grandfinals, im having my party if LGD or VG make it, im going to bed. no point for me to watch Chinese kungfu for 120mins. and I found my new rubick idol, MMY jesus this guy and to be really honest I think VG stands out among the 3 (DK, VG, LGD) as a more teamfight oriented team. 10/10 would watch them defeating Newbee. |
