Era is receiving treatment, i.e. the illness can be proven. This is just a case of mental illnesses not being taken as seriously as a physical one.

People have been complaining about the TI invite requirements since the first iteration of the tourney. Good intentions aside, even stable teams aren't immune from last-minute roster issues. Hopefully subs are allowed in the future (after all, they've even expanded team sizes in-client).
It's worth noting that Fear's injury is a lot less life-impacting than Era's psychological issues. Not being able to play DotA vs not being able to function in society is a massive difference.

I feel cheated. In no way did the compendium mention that anything higher than level 100 would be required to unlock all bonuses. I really hope that Valve rescinds their level 120 requirement.

Entah la, maybe it's personal preference. I had a hard time adjusting to HoN graphics, but not D2's. That's why when Valve released their cosmetics modelling guideline I was quite impressed, but by the look of things, those guidelines have been thrown out the window.
