well if u leaving your L1020 without updated to developer preview 8.1 i would say u didnt seehow much progress tha wp os made....with 8.1 now u got custom background on tiles (one big background picture with transparent tiles on it) I have all three OSes on 3 diff devices, and each has its own pros/cons. custom ringtones...yeap i read it right...use any ringtone u want,short or long customizeable..
folder access...even apps can be separated into folders...
notification drop down menu....with customizeable notifcation mode on each apps....
definately wp is catching up...but yess i do agree there is lacking apps especially who got too many free time playing mainstream fb games such candy crush etc etc....
