Hey guys. Regarding the Xiaomi Piston 2.0 earphone.....Many people said it's very good. But I wonder how good it is. Let say if I use other brand earphone, in the range between RM 40-60 (such as edifier H210P), will it be poorer than Piston 2.0 in term of sound quality? I know I may not get the answer for this. Just hoping that someone who use other brand of earphone for Mi 3 could give some advices on this. Thanks.

Also, have anyone tried to go to lowyat plaza and asked for help to apply SP on their Mi3. Heard that recently got some shops over there started to sell Mi3 SP and casing.

Did anyone notice that the loudspeaker sound is not good? I played a few songs through the loudspeaker and honestly, it sound very poor. Even my old lenovo phone sounds better. Makes me wonder if the speaker has defect....

The sound is somehow distorted. Acoustic is still acceptable. But it became messed up when it comes to pop music.

Did you pay last night? If you already paid, and if your phone is delivered by fedex, and if the whole process is exactly the same with the 1st and 2nd batch delivery, then most likely the phone will reach your home on Saturday or Sunday.

Mine one was paid on Wednesday, and I got it on Sunday morning. No kidding. That's how fast it was.

Old generation people are like that one. I still remember last year when I bought Lenovo P770 (the very first budget P series from Lenovo). My father asked "What is this? China brand phone? I do not hear anyone using this brand woh. Quality can compared with the samsung/Iphones one meh? " I replied him "Soon this brand will spreaded all over the place in Malaysia. Mark my words. It will happen very soon."

Now, after a year since I bought the Lenovo phone, I could see that a lot of people are using Lenovo. In the bus, LRT, on the street. The amount of Lenovo users is getting more and more everyday. Even the Pasar Malam started to sell Lenovo SP and casing.

So give it some times. The china brand such as Xiaomi, OPPO, One plus one, etc, will proves its value. Soon or later your mother probably will switch to China brand phone without any hesitation.

Not neccesary. Last time I checked on my status, it said UPS. At the end, it turns out to be Fedex, after the tracking number shows up.

Wait until your tracking number shows up first. If it's all numbers, it's fedex. If it got alphabets, then it's UPS.

be careful if you want to buy from aliexpress. You may end up buying a fake one. There's some videos explaining this on youtube.

So you bought the original and the fake one? Then if you don't mind, can you tell us what's the difference between these 2 in term of sound quality? I want to know if the fake one is closed enough to the original one in term of sound quality. Thanks.

Since Xiaomi is becoming more and more famous in Malaysia now, plus the plans provided by local telcos, etc etc, I wonder if those phone stores in Lowyat plaza already followed the trend and started to sell the Xiaomi accesories such as SP, casing, earphone, mikey, etc.

I will go there this weekend. Will report here if I find any Xiaomi-related stuff.

I hope so. But even if it's cheap, we also have to be careful because some of them might be fake. So I will keep my eyes open wide during the survey.

I have a question for the stable rom and dev rom.

Dev rom get weekly update, while stable rom got monthly update.

For example, in month of June, dev rom get improvement week by week. And then at the end of month, the update of stable rom will cover all the updates of dev rom from those past weeks.

Is that right?

I see. Then if the stable rom get update to the kitkat version in the near future, can it be simply updated through OTA, or do we need to get that by flashing the rom?

Ah nice. The reason I asked is because I would like to stick only to stable rom. Just afraid if stable rom goes to kitkat one day, I will need to flash the phone in order to get that. But now since I know it can be done through OTA as well, I feel relieve.

The pop up view is quite amazing. Been using it to jote down my note since last week.

And the cleaner, actually we do not need to check it manually. Last night when i locked off my phone, suddenly a message poped up and told me there's about 100mb trash files in the system. And it asked me whether I want to clean it now.

Honestly, I was shocked. Because usually I had to open the cleaner app to check how much of useless files. This was the first time a phone told me about the exact amount before I realized it, and it told me it's about time to do it. Amazing isn't it?

It's quite normal for China brand SP. The same thing happened to my old Lenovo P770. I bought 3 different types of SP from the internet, and end up having 9 pieces of SP.

I don't have RedMi note. So I can't compare it with Mi3. But based on the info from internet, Mi3 should be smoother than RedMi note. Mi3's camera should be better than redmi Note since it's Sony branded and it got dual-LED flashlight.

Normally people choose redmi Note due to its bigger size, dual sims and slightly larger battery capacity. If you keen to that, you should go for it. Otherwise, go for Mi3 if you prefer latest and nicer specs.
