No kidding. Previous batch of mi3's which was delivered by UPS also suffered the same thing.

For the last 2 batches, Fedex was the fastest one. The batches were arrived to Malaysia between Friday night and Saturday morning. But since you said that right now fedex batch is still staying in HK/China, then I guess the delivery this time will be longer than we expected. Perhaps it's becoz of the amount? it seems that 7000 units are too much for them.

Next week there's 8000 units to come. Not to mention the Redmi Note after that. Somehow I feel pity on the fedex and UPS guys. Xiaomi seriously should build a warehouse in here, just like what they did in Singapore.

You should ask your mum where she bought it from. Then you have clues to follow up. Anyway, based on my observation, yours the real one and it's malaysia rom.

IIRC, someone did explain in here saying that CPU-Z is giving slightly wrong information about Xiaomi Mi3. It should be snapdragon 800 instead of 801. So it's CPU-Z fault.

Despite of the confusing number of the snapdragon version, everything is pretty much the same with the real one. So yes, I still think yours the real one. Perhaps some other sifus at here can give you better explanation.

1. Getting the tegra version and cannot use 3G.
