Sorry have to debunk your theory. China never subsidize any China phone maker include Xiaomi as well. I can't say Xiaomi don't make profit but just a little bit to cover all their costs. There are already some interview and report on Google which you can find it. Another reason is, they don't advertise like any other big brand out there.

PS. I just went to my local Fedex center to collect my Mi3 which I can't wait to unbox it to find out tongue.gif

hi, a quick question. i stupidly (yes, stupidly) insert a sim card adapter into the sim tray… so it got stuck. how do i get it open without spoiling any parts of the phone… sad.gif
*
you inserted an empty sim adapter in right?
if yes DO NOT PULL the sim tray out. the sim transistor or whatever you called it is stuck on the empty sim adapter. send it to the service center. force pull means bye bye to your phone.

happened to me before on my Lumia, i was thinking it's easier to put the empty adapter in the sim tray so it will not get lost easily. luckily i didn't force pull it out and sent it to a service center.

good luck. i know how it feels. new phone. swap. stuck. life.

nah i think everyone would do that, the sim adapter is so small putting it back to the sim tray is the most logical choice.

OK this is not tested but here is what I think is happening. The contact pins have make contact with the void part of the adapter. Thus lodging them self in when you try to pull out.
A very thin piece of hard plastic maybe 0.2mm thick cut to fit the size of the tray, longer of course plunging into the sim card side might free the pin and enable you to pull it out.
Try at your own risk, but I doubt a thin plastic can do serious damage.

New phone?

If it's new, then it normal. New phone need to few cycle charging time before the battery can go into optimum state.
