man.. can't even play properly this week. ping is ok, play SC2 and D3 is ok, but go any raid always DC one.

Yes.. it's server side issue.
Many players been getting 90k error in the midst of dungeon/raid yesterday.I too encounter three times 90k error. I had some skills that failed to launch. Although casted, it would not have any animation. I've to spam my macros to make sure that it was properly casted. Wierdest thing is that, i'm hitting on mobs that's 10levels lower than me on a ilv87 gear. So missing hits is just too impossible. The last 2.28 patch also included some interesting bonus feature. That's DF server crash error. |

i see... I did not check on the newsletter or interview.
No time to watch . I'm still unclear about whether Ninja will be tank or it'll be melee. As i heard from majority saying that it's confirmed to be melee. But there're some who say that it might be a tank. As it's been discuss that all new class will be a hybrids of 2 or 3 classes. |

been playing final fantasy for about 6 months now....with 2-3 weeks break when out of crysta. the only thing holding me back from focusing on this game is the ping. No I m not likely to play on Japanese server although the ping is good 140ms. I m playing on US server Excalibur, without booster im getting like 400ms over, with booster WTFast im getting 250-300ms. still a bit laggy for me. I can play WoW without booster and the ping is 200ms all throughout the game constantly. Can anyone tell me THE BEST PING you can get to US server from Malaysia in this game? and what good booster do you use to improve your ping. Thank you for any reply!

Waited Daxio for nearly 2 hours just to be rewarded with only 2 seals and 5k gil. My conclusion: Not worth the time. Better get a party and kill roaming hunts.

Hi all sifu here, I would like to try out this awesome game in my PS4, so which 1 should I buy? The US version or EU version? Or both version wont be too much different about the latency?
EDIT: From this http://www.arrstatus.com/ If the IP is correct, both NA and EU servers are located at the same place? Unfortunately Rank A and B you can't really share with more people, they simply die too fast.
I did the same Rank A twice, first time I call out to ls, and quite a lot of players came over. Someone pull and it died in like 30s, I only got 12 seals instead of the full 20 seals, even though I was one of the first to hit it. 2nd time I kill it I did not call out to anyone, I was with my friend, she went heal, there were a few players there as well but no one pulling, so I went straight for the pull, it die in about 1 minute, I got 20 seals. Unless SE fixes that problem on contribution and the reward it gives or increase the mark HP, there is no way I am going to announce that I found a mark except to few players I am close to, I got no benefit at all from it. |

Anyone having latency issues when you're in instances e.g Sycrus Tower/SCOB? Been having alot of lag spikes recently.

saying the game is region free is confusing. in actual u need to use square enix account according to the region u bought. if u bought it from Europe region then u have to create Square Enix Europe region account. same if u bought from US or JP.
this also applies to your PSN account if u want to play on ps3/4. i cant play my FF14 square enix europe region on ps3 using my main JP account |

The problem is when they put FC house and personal house on the same ward, doing it this way makes it impossible to have it at lower price, coz essentially FC/Personal house is the same thing, at lower price those houses are gonna get grab by FC leaving nothing for those that want personal house. Kinda a dumb move by SE to combine both.

Well looks like Nexus just required you to do instance, though a huge amount of instance in order to get any changes, didn't really have time to try it out, just did 3 SCoB turn and each gave me blinding light for Nexus.

It's basically upgrading as you play, so its all good, might take a while though. Would be better we can get light upgrade after killing a certain amount of world mobs, but it seems like you only get it in instance or duty

Yeah should have taken screenshots of my first T9 clear on both char, totally forgot about it, was just happy I manage to get it clear after being stuck for so long. Now to get a clear with my static instead of pug lol.
I found T9 is actually easier than T5 pre-echo, as long as everyone does the mechanic for phase 4 properly, wasn't even really much of a dps check in phase 4. |

Are you sure you done your side quests and leve as well?There is a bit of down time in the main story quests where you will need to use FATE, leve or side quests to level up a bit more in order to continue the main quests. Not sure which servers you are on but there will always be some FATE up in the area, and the more players clearing FATE the faster they spawn. |

but it only apply on Tank or Healer XD. Duty Roulette Primal Trail Nexus 2000 point each round 4 point 500 x 2700 gils (Randomly Tank or Healer so estimate divide by 2) = more than 675k gils if doing both tank and healer Nexus 1000 x 2700 = 2.7 mils |

Hey all. I was a long time player and I stopped for a year but suddenly felt the need
to resubscribe because of all the cool content coming up like 2.4 and Heavensward. However I don't know whats going on but my server(Tiamat) has literally no English speakers. I want to make a world switch to Tonberry but before I do that, how's that server for everyone who is logged there? |

I heard that there's a free trial for the first month?

Greatly enjoying the game so far. Extremely good graphics without terrible framerate, epic storyline and a (to me) fresh approach to gathering and crafting.
Kind of hit a wall on my lv16 Lancer, though. I've pretty much done the Gridania quests within my level range and I want to keep the quests from other cities for my other classes. But I really, really don't want to grind FATEs. Did I do something wrong or is there an alternative? |

Everyone is leveling rogue, so if you plan to use dungeon to level forget it unless you go in with tank. Forget about doing low level roulette and guild hest also, it will be a very very long queue. Just spam FATE, leve and hunting log instead.

With queue that long of course I won't even bother to queue for it, but you do lose out on the roulette bonus for both low level and guild hest which is not a small amount.
I drag my tank friend with me when I want to go dungeons for xp too bad can't queue low level roulette in party so can only get dungeon xp without bonus. |

I can't manage to create a character in tonberry. So sad
So far I like the game, great story and graphic. But skills style are so so only. I like the dungeon which emphasise on roles. Gonna buy it if I can get into tonberry. I notice not much ppl play healer lol. |

Guess most free weekend players are rolling healers and tanks now seeing they're the most common class I saw in beginning areas.Level 20-40 healers are rare though. Same throughout every servers.
Healer is the top one most hardworking job . Players will get terribly stressed after playing it for sometime. 2 types of job will always get express ticket to queues . -Tanker -Healer Whenn dps are struggling to get into roulettes/specific dungeons , this two jobs already probably few levels ahead of them. |

i tanking him at start... then suddenly dead and each member one by one dead = wipe 2nd try... i tanking him .. less than 10 secs off tank provoke him off me... then dead and everyone dead wat did i do wrong here? i tot off tank have to collect 3 orbs only provoke ramuh off me? or main tank have to collect 3 orbs together with off tank |

If you take a 4th orb you go into overcharge, usually done during phase change like add phase, you take reduce healing but still able to survive ramuh attack, the only heal that works on you will be lustrate. OT needs to take 3 orb before provoking ramuh off you. Any additional orbs on the field will increase the dmg taken by the party, hence the need to clean up the orbs when tank already took theirs. So both MT and OT needs to get 3 orbs, MT while tanking it, and OT before provoking it. |

It's very vague that almost every site and youtube taught you to voke when you grab 3 orbs.
But the biggest puzzle is are you going to grab every orbs that you see on the ground and start voking ? The answer is no. At start, MT will quickly switch into OT when you see the first sets of orb drop. But after that, OT are advised to keep track of MT's buff. Only start grabbing the orbs and voke after MT is left with 20secs. That means that 1set of orbs you voke, 2nd sets leave it to others to clear it off. |

I think most of the malaysia players are in Eu version , i think we are better connection/ping in jp-server compare to Na-server  |

Im, Ign : Xiang Yu @ Tonberry server Bro I used to be very hardcore for PvP to farm my PLD lion armor , For frontline (PvP) is fun 72 players PvP, but sometime ur team might have too many Japanese and its spoil the teamwork but if u hardcore enough, u will find some keyword which Japanese can understand But there is a main issue for PvP now is waiting time , for normal day lesser players going for PvP , best timing for PvP is weekend or Tuesday night after reset average waiting time is about 8-10mins , normal day might take 30mins for 1 game We welcome you to come back This post has been edited by mammymy: Jan 9 2015, 03:05 PM |

2 days ago, i tried to create a new character on tonberry at about 7.xxpm, surprisingly all the jp server doesnt have restrictions >.< , but since the chracter creation restriction notice still on front page, it still depends on timing you create the character I suppose >.< , but since now its january start schooling maybe its easier to create characterxD

i watched the stream at that night. the players ignored yoshida request to clear the map and not try to interfere him with magitek explosion spam but the crowds didnt listened. this somehow gave bad reputation of gaijins in tonberry server

ok guys need to ask. is SE even ban bot other than those BLM/THM bot? already report but no action taken in fact that guy continue bot and teleport hack like nobody business. I love report bot especially from english community

Hey guys, I did play this game during Beta phase, I'm thinking to start playing, but here's some question and you guys might help me out
1. I can't really remember which region I play on last time, but I do have an SE account. Is the account bond with the region I registered? 2. Is offgamers CD key and game time card legit? 3. I notice that the data center can be change anytime, so is that mean either you're using JP/EU/NA account, you can still play in the same server? |

i noticed one thing about the flying mount. Except the flying chocobo , i had no idea how fast it could travel on land. Assuming it's just like normal chocobo.
For the dragon and griffon*seems to me* mount, they're slow when they move on land. At one point, you can see that the person decides to unmount . But thanks to flying mount, places are easily reachable with minimal time. As you can see, the maps were incredibly huge. Some were tall and it made travelling uphill very time consuming. As we can see, ff14 is slowly picking up ideas from ff11. 3 newbie city and 1 main city. Raising limit to lv60. |

I believe it's the animation or motion? When Lalafell and Roegadyn run together, lalafell looks like he is running faster, but both are running at the same speed. The same applies for the chocobo. The way we see it, the big chocobo moves so slow, but the small chocobo runs so fast. So, if the dragon is even bigger, its motion is even slower?

before i subscript, i would like to ask few questions n hoping all pro's can help clearing my doubts out. 1. am i still not too late to start playing tis game? coz its already been run for more than a year right? 2. my elder bro played tis game then quit, thou i never see he play b4 (hes not living with me in hometown). shall i continue his account (i asked n hes not returning back in game... so far), so i can hav his items/gold and 2x 50's char (saving the grinding time), or make a new account? (personaly prefer cont. his account) 3. the reason my bro quit is the craftings r pain in s n he don't hav time to invest in the game ending up wasting the subs. r those crafting really hurt tat much? tat all so far, hoping u guys can help me out, millions of thanks. btw, the heavensward trailer really stunned me, lol |

3. For repair and skills usage, I guess you need all craft leveled? It's all about time and money. Upgrade gears for great amount of money. Time sink to hunt ingredients. I still do it to pass time. I used to be hardcore in crafting. Nowadays, I approach my friend to get gears crafted. Rather use my time to play disciple of wars to gather money. Not hard. lol ya hor, gil is FF series currency.
btw, i'm having another doubts. let says, i'm have both EU PC n EU PS3 1. am i able to switch PC/console to play ANYTIME as long as my acc active? or only 1 can be use until expired, meanwhile the other 1 stay inactive? 2. i need to subscript monthly for both version? (i nid to feed both monthly?) |

been thinking of stick to PC first then later on buy PS3's heavensward, since we still have to buy for the new contents. Just not sure the additional contents can be access from PC o not (if i dl the pc's data from somewhere else). |

Better to stick with PC unless your PC spec is low, cause a decent PC will perform better than the PS3 version. It will only make sense if you go from PC to PS4 since the performance is more comparable.
Bear in mind that your hotbar/crosshotbar, gear set, macro, keybind, HUD, etc are save locally, meaning that if you decide to play on console you will need to setup the whole thing again. Took me a while to setup my setting again on PS4 but being able to use macro command to copy stuff from 1 hotbar to another class hotbar helps a lot. If I not mistaken you can copy the FFXIV installation folder and run it on a different PC and it will still work, not sure on the proper steps though but you probably can find it using google. |
