called, digital voice (computer generate) telling me i have 32,000myr pending for approval require my verification... i shut the phone.

i do have deals with AmBank, usually they would just call me and ask me nicely to go down to "branch" to find "officer" to verify something. never used any digital voice to verify thing over the phone.

it's a scam, just ignore it

but funny thing is, that number does belong to Ambank KL... im from sarawak and usually is local Ambank numbers who calls me if anything. AMbank KL number got hijacked?

yes their number got hijacked and seems like they can do nothing about it. This has been going on for few years. Either ambank is unable to do anything or they are too lazy to do something.

I have called them when I got this scam. The customer service knows about it and just advice us to ignore it.

I don't think it's really that hard to trace the caller if they really want to do it.

just got a called. i dun even hv an ambank account or dealt with anything to do with ambank. pfft. tellingme i hv 3k+ pending for approval.

This number just called me this morning, it sounded untrained caller operator trying to speak. Cut off the phone immediately. Claiming that I have AmBank credit card owing rm3800. Seems like the privacy protection act is not effective.

lol i got called too this morning

I'd received the same call this afternoon, the voice said I got a 3k transaction pending for verify.... After listen to that, I just cut the line. I don't hv any Ambank acc except loan.

got call from this number yesterday. just ignore and hangup. I don't even have any deal with Ambank before.

There are Fake Base Station out there, can hijack anything, and pretend to be anything. And the worst is that, it is very cheap and portable.

just received a voicemail of the said automated phone operator from 03 2167 3000 (why bother to read the script to voicemail), and told me i ahve rm2800 pending transaction, ignore the phone,

please beware.

03 2167 3000 was previous ambank group service line number, newest number was at the website.

Luckily I've used whoscall and app did shown that this number seems to be scam number. No cc acct at Ambank so hangup. Go to their official website and call the contact center number at their official page to verify. Beware guys

I got the same call too last week. Though there was a weird voice pretending to be a machine. Ohh, how i wishe i knew about the scam, can scream like mad man bila ada orang angkat.

Just got call from 012-311 1440.

Untrained voice from "Ambank Recovery" saying I owe money to AmBank or MBf RM4k+ (she doesn't even know which one). Told me to go check at Branch, then make police report wor.

Sounds like one time previously someone pretend to be from MBf, say I owe money, ask to to call "Bank Negara", then gave me a fake number to call ...
