imho, cps is variable valve lift on intake port, low profile to high profile using trilobe cam to enhance the power from mid to high range n for low to mid,since no variable valve timing being used,it being replace by vim-variable intake manifold(like iafm)which is ecu activated,as the name suggest on intake cuz vvt plus vvl is not quite cost efficient for prtn. even vim n vvt has nearly same objective,to generate more torque at low rpm,but vim only control the air,but vvt cntrol the valve opening n duration n more efficient. nfe, vvt,without vvl n turbo.
cfe, vvt with single scroll turbo. why use vvt,more cost efficient than twin charger n twin scroll turbo.
vvt n vim are more emmision friendly than vvl. it doesnt mean it cant be done,but hard, time cnsuming n cost related.
nfe is of course the most fuel efficient campro among campro variants n bosch also lending a helping hand,but of course,it is not the most fuel efficient engine out there,just among the campros :-).
but interm of technological advancement, i think it will be better than suprima,inside n out(proton to proton comparison,not other makes)
gcc will be a shy n humble car compare competitors,maybe a dark horse if every thing goes well. if not,then it just a proton n i believe that the rnd team work really hard against the limitation. maybe some suprises during the launch :-).
