Honestly, how does one actually fire his/her boss? Mind to share the process, b3rnard7?

i'm still a student and i'm working in my dad's hardware shop every year's december till chinese new year, to earn pocket money for mid-year-spending-spree rclxm9.gif though i know i'll never be fired as long as i go to work and don't do stupid mistakes, like, arguing and punching customers, the thought of being fired is still, scary ph34r.gif

here's how my father do it: if a worker is late-to-shop for 3 days in a week, in the 4th day he'll get a scolding and a RM20 to get himself back to kampung (majority of the workers are from kelantan. i don't know why too.), shouting at him, telling him the next day there'll be someone to replace him. "kalau tak nak kerja, balik kampung tidur, sini untuk orang nak kerja, bukan orang nak cuti." <- his favourite sentence.

imagine being shout like that in public. sweat.gif

Gee whiz, reminds me so much of my dad too!

Yeah, I used to work free-lance for daddy, setting up office computer systems and software solutions. Sometimes would run errands (just like any other office boy), going to the bank, collecting payments, even buying packed lunch.

No exceptions too. If I'd screw up, I'll be cruicified in office too. Using "dad" is like uttering a forbidden verse from the book of curses.

Never did get fired though, as I held one trump card - he needed me to take care of his office computer systems... for free. And I needed some pocket money... for dating girls

I worked with my dad as a factory supervisor too.Did similiar things with what u just said.Because i worked with my dad,i have to perfom even more.To show him i'm a man. However i feel protected,so i decided to venture to the corporate world outside,I felt more capable and having more freedom.

I've got fired twice. Both of them "fired" me "suddenly" at the end of the month, when I take my salary for them.

It is a painful experience, and it does demoralise one, but do the employers themselves feels happier and happy about it? (Firing someone).
Thats why after the 2nd time I was terminated, I got all "fedup" and started my own business.

i thought most of the bosses just "encourage" you to leave..
i've heard of some that says they keep on transferring you from one department to another until you get fed-up and fire yourself sweat.gif

I just told him I quit bcos I know this comp will moved to balakong which is too far for me,if still in bandar sunway I dun mind.Furthermore, the salary that u offer for me is very low and I can't afford to travel to balakong.I believe other company will pay higher than hire...frankly speaking.

but have you ever think of the reason they fired you? is it really because of you fault?

but i think a company should give notice before they fired an employee to give them some time to find a replacement. is this stated in the labour law?

So what conditions would one deserve firing?

Here's what my company's Employment Contract states (edited for confidentiality)

- Stealing company's property
- Non-conformance to the Company's Rules and Regulations
- Fighting, assault or use of threat in a physical manner at work
- Consumption / Possession / Usage of alcohol / drugs at work
- Gambling during work hours
- Behaviour that consist of vulgar / abusive / gross / insubordinative

I think I have violated quite a number of them.
