Just wanted to ask, how does one secure 4 flat in STPM? Do you have to get CGPA 4.00 for every semester in order to get it?

If can la. Every sem get 4.00 is the best way to score 4 flat in STPM. For science stream, the worst grade for each subject that you must get is A-. For arts stream the worst grade is B.

No one is able to give you a clear guide on how to ace in STPM. Persistence and hardwork will contribute to your success.

I would suggest you to roughly know what's in every chapter in d beginning, followed by more detailed revision. For example, for PA in Sem. 2, you'll need to know about graphs. Start by knowing d types of graphs, then do more in-depth revision by doing d exercises in textbooks & workbooks. Remember, practice makes perfect.

Always seek help from yr teachers whenever you nid help in your studies, and this applies to coursework (kerja kursus) too! I agree dat some teachers may be lazy, but many are very dedicated in teaching & they will gladly explain to you if you ask them.

You dont nid 4.00 in every sem or every paper to get a final 4.0 pointer. (feeling relieved? ) However, you'll still nid to put in effort to study bcause honestly, it's not easy to attain 4.0, but not impossible either.

I would advise you to study consistently now, get d grades you want, and avoid repeating papers if possible, bcause many students waste money repeating papers, bcause they didnt improve their grades bcause of lack of study time. If you repeat sem2, you'll only take it after sem3, meaning you'll have to study sem3 subjects+sem2 repeat subject(s). All d best~

Yeah I've decided to take on this path. Since you got 4.00, did you apply for any overseas uni and get their offer or you're planning to study locally?

If can, I would go for overseas. However if anything fails, I will study locally, at overseas universities malaysia campus (Like Nottingham, Southampton etc)

Hi Guy. How are you doing. I'm facing some problem and I hope to get some advise. I didn't expect my SPM result would be bad because last years SPM was hard and i would like to continue into STPM in Science Stream.

But I been assign to Humanity Stream. I know that in Science Stream is gonna be hard for me and i will take up the effort to study harder because I want to become a nuclear engineer.

My Math is A, Physic is C+, and My Chemistry sadly is D bye.gif .

Is there a possibility that my appeal will be success in going back to science stream. By the way Im also changing school too, so i need a probability of both of these to be successfully approve.

Can I know what's your results of Additional Mathematics?

Because in science stream, you need to have at least mastered basic knowledge in Physics, Additional Mathematics and Chemistry during SPM level.

Since you are interested in becoming Nuclear Engineer, then I suppose you wanted to enter Physics Stream for STPM?

Judging from your results, you will have a very hard time during STPM, unless you put in a lot of effort and not giving up.

Chances of you getting back to science stream is quite slim, but no harm trying it.

If you want to transfer to another school, it's preferable to straight away meet the principal of another school than applying through Jabatan. Jabatan won't give a damn towards your application to changing schools during form six.

ps: If you really, really wanted to be a nuclear engineer, why don't you find any IPTS offering this course and study foundation which leads to the degree straight away?

Yes, I would like to enter the Physic Stream. I know that the road ahead me are hard. But I really want to enter back into Science Stream. My Add math is C +. And I started to revise on my math while preparing to enter Stpm. I m taking stpm because it sort of like get use to the semester and system and it save money too. I will try to appeal for it. If I can't get it, it gonna be a heart breaking moment for me as I work hard during my PMR periods I get so far till now. By the way my PMR result is a near miss. But Last year spm was the hardest one I did compare to the pass year question.
