flatline, minimalist, plain.

Awesome

I say this with immense pride to the locals who designed this, good job!

same here, kinda like the simple design.

QUOTE(combataran @ Jul 23 2014, 10:04 PM)
Can I order this? And the casing is aluminium right?
*
wait until some minor problems are rectified, then can proceed to GB liao. icon_idea.gif

summoning ainuddin for CNC cost and where is it? i wanna cnc plate for my phantom projek
yeah it's 6061 alu and ano+powdercoated. cantek right??
*
What other pcb want to be supported?
Nerd TKL is good enough. thumbup.gif
Good quality stuff.

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Jul 23 2014, 10:22 PM)
KMAC copy much?
Though honestly, there's only so many ways you can design a keyboard that is minimalist.

The guys at Tex did a great job thinking outside the box.

I spy White FILCO  tongue.gif
*
Yeah, the design is kinda base on KMAC 2 as reference.
But the rear is definitely not the same.

QUOTE(combataran @ Jul 23 2014, 10:24 PM)
Yeah, that's what I thought when I first saw the 84key config. I'd like to see the profile of the board though, if it's like the KMAC 2 or 1.
*
base on kmac2 CE as reference only.
but internally, it is different.

I pay few thousands for custom keyboard, ended up alignment also got a bit off whistling.gif

Ping is not even an issues, it is up to you whether you like it.
Then can add a memory foam under pcb to eliminate the sound.

Since when Filco reputation is that bad ?

maggi? oh ..i got what u meant. No worries bro, i can go stock up my maggi.

Anybody can give me a quote on an alu housing for Deck Hassium?

One thing about Deck. They have quite a good customer support. Provided new firmware updates through meckb.com
*
Fork thousands of RM, for a deck casing is ridiculous.
Lets see how to deal with the controller if it dies.

Get a true custom mechanical keyboard would be much better.
Because you know what is your parts inside, and most of them are available all the time.

recently bought a ducky zero shine, blue switch, yellow body, korean version

this is my first ducky, previously I use Daskeyboard, and more previously i use razer blackwidow

I want to say, the quality of ducky zero shine is not very good, maybe because it is made in china.

1) not every key sounds the same when pressed, some are more clicky, some are less
2) the spacebar is not clicky at all, very mushy
2.1) the seller explains that it is because the key is big while the switch is small, that's why
2.2) but when I test his demo unit in his shop, the spacebar very clicky, so... his explanation above does not sounds valid...
Overall I would rate ducky similar to razer, while Daskeyboard still the best quality.
This is only based on the ducky zero shine which is made in china, not applicable to the ducky shine 3 which is made in taiwan
*
that is why we always ask people to buy Filco instead.
Then people complain why keep push Filco. shakehead.gif doh.gif

not really crazy bro. im going to buy another spare deck hassium just in case. lol

I dont mind going for a full custom if i can get the exact same feel as the deck. if i spent for it and i cannot get that feeling, trust me, its going to be put up in the sales thread almost immediately. the other one that came close to the feel of the deck is the maxkeyboard nighthawk x7 which is sleeping right now in the cupboard.
*
Don't worry.
A simple aluminium case of poker 2 can trash the typing feel of deck hassium anytime. thumbup.gif

Don't stop, keep going to next level.

My "lame" comment is targetting generally at mech kb, not at Filco,
no need be insulted, Filco fanboy.

I am generally saying that average mech kb is already very expensive compared to normal kb.
That's why many people don't want to change.
And Filco is even more expensive, which makes first timer even harder to jump in.
They can use a RM30 keyboard instead of a RM500 keyboard, which they may consider lame.

Ok? Filco fanboy.
*
Don't butt hurt because I bombarded your statement, when we are talking about Filco
but suddenly you turn around says in general.

The question is already being answered repeatedly.
Filco is expensive because of quality, nuff said.
Why do people need more justification for it?

If they find mechanical keyboard is not their NEED, then don't try hard to convince themselves buy a mkb.
Later buy a cheapo one then start to complain this is not good, that is bad.

Lastly, all of my comments are based on my personal experience.
I don't always suggest something not-so-nice.

For all you Filco TKL users out there, TEX 80% aluminium cases are now being sold on Mechanicalkeyboards.com. Not exactly top notch, but good enough for the money.

Picture for reference:

For the money, it is quiet worth la.
Some more the case so big but price same as TEX 60 laugh.gif
You get what you paid. The problem is within the inner part of the case, outer wise is not bad.
