SlimKat is AOSP rom so go for AOSP elementalx. It's good to use the Aroma installer (not a 'must') as you can set some of the settings there else you need to go to /sys folder to configure the kernel settings OR use any kernel apps to configure.

So CWM comes with Aroma built-in? Sorry, have to ask noob question. My last venture into custom ROM was when I used HTC Desire and Aroma didn't exist back then.

CWM is just a recovery. Aroma is an installer which you can select what you want to install (in this case, flash). The .zip file already included the aroma installer so you can just flash the zip file as normal in your recovery
After that you'll be shown the aroma installer. Follow the instructions there and select what you want to configure.

i believe my phone battery drain and heat up all the time was due to google now "ok google " detection... i hv jsut disable it to rom from any screen and from lock screen, back to original setting. first time talk to the phone not the people... if not because of this function i think i don even use the ok google also. all the while want to search something just type on the search bar.

I'm on stock 4.4.4 rooted with twrp recovery. Anyone tried combo of stock ROM with ElementalX kernel?

Can reach 4hours SOT ... but somehow maybe I mod with xposed and some app... (new google play services / now too)... can reach 3hours SOT only .. lasting a day is not a problem .

ok liao la...3 hours sot for nexus5 consider pass with excellent score already.... mine unit today runing the "it is not ok to be ok google", gv me less then 2 hours SOT and the unit like run full speed all the time. unit is warm, even i already flash with elementalx + dirty unicorn !

dunno why, my QuickSetting Location tile, both of small GPS & Internet icons missing.
it's still works and switching when long-press but troublesome as the tile not showing which mode. anyone encounter this?

no such problem on my unit, slimkat 6.0 + slementalx 1.0

though, the phone will switch off screen after pressing power button/DT2W, so everything is blank, but I can still touch things (phone vibrates when i touch stuff so I know), sometimes screen comes on after a while most of the time not

factory reset and reflashed ROM + Kernel, everything fine now

okay, my intermittent Location Mode Indicators issue resolved by alternative workaround: replaced by custom chamber of secret tile

I'm sure this issue will not happen if I factory reset, flesh flash will work without issue, not sure how it's trigger this bug up. about maybe 2 of 50 full wipe/flash, will only encounter this issue from my records.

Anyone tried the xposed module ‘per app hacking’? That's an option there that says disable wakelock, I'm using it with K-9, seems to be working fine so far, will report further

after disable the ok google everywhere function, my phone battery perform a bit better now. At least now it only 1% for 30 min IDLE and the phone is cooler.

by the way, i am on dirty unicorn, i think i want to disable the tiles notification on lock screen. which area that i can see ? so many setting inside also not sure which is which already.
