If you cant afford to eat at the airport, then you cant afford to go abroad. I checked all airports I visited, all of them have prices higher than downtown or normal malls.

And...the prices charged at KLIA\KLIA2 are similar to most other places I visit. Once out of Malaysia, be prepared to pay in USD.

Easy example. A bowl of noodles in KLIA2 with drink is about RM15, that is say USD5. If you go to Busan, airport food there starts from USD6-10. In Japan, a simple bowl of rice n eggs/chicken with green tea is USD7. In Cambodia, the coffee is USD3 per cup.

In Thailand, Don Muang has a buffet which is cheap... RM20 or less per pax, but their other cafes also charge similar to our KLIA.

I dont remember about Indonesia. I remember MACAU was so expensive. USD15-20 a bowl of noodles that I starved and wait for AA nasi lemak on board. RM15 seems a steal.

There are 3 or 4 set menus, noodles pun ada...but nasi lemak more filling...for me.

I find that burger king, McD, KFC prices are similar or slightly higher, just no sets. Never tried kopitiam.

Waiting for premium lounge to open outside. The premium lounge in KLIAII after immigration only at L - so, those going to K, P, Q, no food.
