Quick question: for MDU/condo, does TIME provides fibre to each unit? or simply rely on same method as other ISPs (i.e. via existing copper infra of the condo)?

Thanks for your reply. I just wanna be sure before I subscribe. It's very common for ISPs to use copper for MDUs even though it's supposed to be "Fibre To The Home". It's understandable from business perspective for scalability.

I'm currently using TP-Link Archer C7 (v2) based on the recommendation by The Wirecutter (link: The Best Wi-Fi Router) and it works well for my use cases, which is quite similar to yours. The price is not too bad for the superior performance gain that you'll get.

It can handle multiple HD videos streaming very well. For example, in our house we're using our iMac as a media server, so I'll use Air Video HD on my iPhone to stream movies from the iMac, which I then Airplay it to the Apple TV. At the same time my sister would stream TV series to her phone and my brother would do the same with his iPad. No hiccup.

(P/S: I'm using old-gen iMac that doesn't support direct Airplay to Apple TV. So the app is a nice workaround and I get to browse the folders on the iMac from my phone.)

I can't verify for other routers but just thought of sharing my experience with you. Cheers.

And I'm glad that the setup for custom router is a lot simpler on Time compared to when I was using Maxis Fibre.

Same here, I've been using Getflix for a few months now and it works great. I bought the lifetime subscription for USD39.

You can also use the Getflix mobile app to change the region of Netflix as you please. Easier than going to their website.

The other thing that I like is, when at home, I've configured their DNS to my router (which was quite straightforward), but when I'm at other places that has wifi, let's say my parent's house or at a coffeeshop, I can configure their DNS to my phone's wifi connection so that I can still access the streaming services
