hi, can any time users help me out. i would like to check if TIME really has 50mbps across all websites or just selectively few like youtube etc.

I used to play in cyber cafe with Time fiber, with each pc capped at 20 mbps each (if surfing youtube, steam download it will reach 2MB/s.

however, to many sites the download speed is very underwhelming, such as

https://www.flyvpn.com/download

the speed was around 50kb/s when i was downloading, taking few minutes to complete 1.5MB file from flyvpn.

Can any of you test if you are downloading flyvpn file at 50mbps or also very slow speed

I have tested on both unifi and streamyx and they have max speed for the site flyvpn.

there are many sites as well and while i know it very much depends on the server location, but i dont want to be using vpn most of the time in order to get full speed.

You know what, the ridiculously slow download speed is affecting almost everyone of us. It's been quite a long time, a month probably? Shouldn't this call for a compensation from TIME? This really bugs me as I have bought premium accounts based on the trust in TIME's reliability. It was so good for two years up until a month ago. hmm.gif
It was stable, like VERY STABLE. But nowadays, the download rate sucks big time. You might be able to see from the comments in this thread. doh.gif

i signed up 50mbps package, a bit scared now, hope time will deliver speed of the package

We all hope so. I'll be away from KL for some training and will be back early November. Hopefully, by the time I got back, TIME's connection already back to normal, if not, TIME's better preparing for some compensation package for the troubled users. As for now, these are what I got doing test with Europe servers. hmm.gif

just got time 50mbps installed today. to neighbouring servers like SG or MY, can get 50-70 mbps stable, but to china and other countries, basically 1-5mbps (which i assume is temporary problem), if i use flyvpn singapore server (m1), i would get 10mbps fixed (the vpn is 10mbps speed) to the china servers that i download stuffs (this way we can confirm that TIME international bandwidth is actually shiet at the moment, and we can see SG M1 has no such issue.

The speed i get in speedtest.net
i can get 60Mb is because when starting few second the speed is 280Mb, after that is 46mb, speedtest file too small and it just take average.
[attachmentid=5148277]

The speed i get in Time webpage
starting time also fast, but it not take average, it take last second, so it is actual speed.
[attachmentid=5148284]

same, if i download a file, starting speed around 25mb/s for around 10 seconds (really hit 250mb in 10 sec), then slowly throttle back to 50mbps (around 6.2mb/s)

5th days since using 50mbps, very satisfied, consistent download speed, get up to 70 mbps most of the time.

Steam download, Origin download, Uplay download, gog download, all work fine. Ping to dota 2, fifa etc other gamings all good.

only downside is international bandwidth (got in the range of 5mbps - 20mbps in 50mbps package, but still, sometimes its due to the web host upload speed that throttles. Shanghai and few china servers all works well @ 50mbps, europe mostly 5mbps - 15 mbps, south american mostly 5-10 mbps.

sometimes hitting 250mbps (you can spam resume/pause button for download manager, and the early few seconds for every resume/pause will be 25mb/s to 30mb/s)

50mbps package

fubar843

this should solve most issues here.

take speedtest servers with a grain of salt, not all servers are qualified, some servers suck like shit, giving shitty speed with their limited speed.

some servers perform well, like Amsterdam Softlayer techonologies [45mbps average on DL and UL]

I've got a question. Does TIME throttle streaming sites like Twitch? I paid a lot of money to subscribe for unlimited internet and I can't even watch a stream on twitch on LOW quality with my 50 mbps connection.

I never had this problem with Unifi and am regretting my decision to subscribe to TIME.
*
i have no problem watching 1080 streaming (high), or even broadcast myself @ 3300 kbps.

on a site note,

anyone uses TIME to download playstation games?

my ps vita on wifi, downloading 1.7gb , remaining time around 600 minutes.

I'm specifically talking about Twitch. I can watch Youtube just fine but it seems to me that they're throttling certain sites.
