yeah. i suppose for Time, there wasnt a real win win as they wanted to stick to the 500mbps. its either the 20->300 and 30->300 . there will also be a similar problem and people wont be happy. rather than create another 100/200/300/500 package. in the end the customer cant really complain as its exceeding its promise to the customer 10 fold, if really complain, maybe Time will rollback for that customer and give them their contracted speed hahahahah. but i assume they decided to do the 30>500 and 50>500 is because there are less users at these levels. so its easier to deal with.

but then new customers complain we will be getting cheaper rates than they are paying (RM299 for 500mbps). in terms of business they are trying to make people happy and increase their business. cannot make everyone happy.

the best option if i was you is once contract complete, drop down to the 100mbps package. or do it now, not sure if there are penalties, but if its RM500 penalty, then after 5 months already can make up the loss. as you only actually wanted 50mbps. anyways. just my 2 sen.

im a 10mbps user. my bro is the 50mbps user which also kena the RM249. but just gotta shrug it off bro. as mentioned, the best option (imho) if you have a long contract left, is to just take the penalty and drop to lower package. then can save RM100/month for 100mbps. which is 50mbps more than you wanted. then in a way, you still save money.

time network swamped because everyone DL-ing all their backed up torrents hahah. and.... slow because... everyone doing speedtest! hahha. well didnt do any tests last night. but no issues watching netflix as always.

remember its only the first few days. TIME will have their teething period. once everyone calms down about testing torrents and going crazy. the speed should stabilize... hopefully. i think need to give it a month or two at least for them to look at the data and adjust accordingly.

anyone actually use the TIME telephone thing? mine is still in the kotak. dunno anyone using landline. is it cheaper for certain calls? i guess maybe should plug it in in case phone batt dead in emergency.
