hi guys. im using 30mbps package so was upgraded to 500mbps.
if i use lan cable yes im getting around 450mbps-550mbps average.
but why on wifi im only getting around 20-40mbps only ?
tested using my phones, computer, xbox one. which all 3 device is right beside the wifi.

im also using the zte zxhn h298n.

because of wifi router limitation, you can change to better AC router to get better speed

This is normal lah...Wireless will never get full speed. Even your lates AC1200 5Ghz will probably only get 100Mbps to 200Mbps in real life.
Everyone is having the same issues...bro jjj and yeapch...can feedback to TIME?

Later we have an army of red shirt TIME users riot at their HQ!!!!  mad.gif

i test on AC signal, that y i confuse hmm.gif

Still having problem getting anything above 70-90mbps, when I should be getting 500, Both Wired and Wireless same issue. Can only get 480+ on their ZTE Router.
I've tested my Asus RT-AC68U (both original and merlin firmware) and also Asus RT-N56U, same problem.
The speed test goes to 300-400 right at the start then drops down to 70-80.
Only their ZTE Router works?? Any idea anyone?
*
try hard reset the router
Try the 30-30-30 reset, usually works with just about any home router:

1. when the unit is powered on, hold down its reset button for 30 seconds

2. while still holding down the reset button, unplug the router from power and hold for an additional 30 seconds

3. still holding down the reset button, turn on power to the router again and hold for 30 more seconds

After this process (a total of 90 seconds) is complete, your router should be restored to its factory default state.

Yes. Nothing beats wired. No matter what marketing gimmick they tell you with the WIFI. My Wifi N-150 dongle, at best reached about 30Mbps++ when the LAN was full speed using booster at 50Mbps (previous plan before upgrade).

If speed and latency is critical, you will do wise to invest in powerline adapter.

my wireless ping good, just speed slow at night

Yeap, please check my area speed.

I suppose to get 300mbps for upload and download BUT

I am getting DL: 130mbps and UL: 291 mbps (this is ok for up but my down is not acceptable)

Dont tell me that my router is not fast enough as i am getting 300mbps down but not up. I am using AC1900 router.

Thanks

I dont think is the WIFI issue as i can get upload at 300mbps.

I try ookla to time server, i am getting UL:120mbps dl and DL:290.

Test singtel i am getting UP:160mbps and DL:290.

Previously i am checking the speed from time speed test with UP:120mbs and DL:290.

Will do more testing on reboot the modem and might need to find my long cable to connect...
*
why not you just try via LAN first
then you will know is wifi issue or not
btw if LAN can full, but wifi can't not 100% is router issue, still need to check
i use app check my phone can communicate with router o 2xxMb but peak hour i only get 3x-4x speed test result, but that time LAN is full speed

You are right, use my laptop to pull a cable to it, can get UL:300 DL:270

Retune my AC receiver and WIFI on router... Manage to bring up the UL:230 and DL:290. Will need to tune more and hope to get near to 300 tongue.gif

Anyone can get a rock solid WIFI speed to 300mbps and 500mbps? maybe can share the setting here smile.gif

After some research, i dont think any WIFI AC router can break the 300mbps!!!

Even the best AC class also, it will only hit 240 to 280 mbps!!!

Thinking of downgrade unless we are going to change receiver to WIFI AD tongue.gif

That's the thing about technology. It won't work if you get one thing upgraded. You must upgrade a whole bunch of other things. You get 500Mbps, happy? Now router tak bouli, computer wifi receiver tak bouli, etc. It's season to spend money folks.
*
you can downgrade ur package to 100Mb
monthly fees also decrease
