How about fuel consumption?
*

Fuel consumption is decent. highway is roughly 7L/100KM. city around 11-12L/100KM. fuel consumption is not the selling point of this car. safety features and comfort does.

Owned the car for 10 months now, prefacelift version.
Problems so far :
1. Break pedal squeak sound during pedal depressed/released..so far ok n under monitoring after 2nd fix...
2. Air con compressor noise when compressor is turned on. Only last for 1-2 sec then noise will gone. Will ask them to check in 2nd service.
3. Short weird whistling noise(last for ~3 secs) from engine bay after 1-2 hours highway drive under hot weather (32 celcius or above), normally happened when leaving toll (slow down to below 20 km/h and start acceleration again). Already lodge report.
4. Very faint squeaking noise from rear left passenger seat when someone take that seat and car cruising on bumpy road.

Any one face similar issue?

So far owned for three months, my main issue is sound from suspension when going over bumps. Could be because I installed the 'cushion'??
*
What cushion you installed?

Thanks for sharing.

We never had any of the above so far, still below 2k mileage and the longest travel distance is 300km. We will keep you posted.

For us, we had 2 incidents so far, one with the remote battery being low and radiator fan turned on by itself after short travel to the market.

The both problem gone after restart the car and turn off again. When the remote battery is low the car wouldn't lock itself. So, better be sure that you see the alarm is on when you walk away.
*
I also had occasional radiator fan turn on after engine switch off. But I think it is normal to bring down engine temperature. I normally have this after stuck in stop-go traffic under hot sun, or highway drive.
The remote battery I also changed once already. After change, you need to reset by stand close to the car, press any button on remote continuously 4 times (I pressed the open door button), then the low bat message on your dashboard display will be gone.

Thanks for sharing! By the way mind to share the source of this manual? Just want to know whether the source is reliable. smile.gif
I not sure how's the KL map, but the map in Penang seems to be outdated even with the latest map when I got the car.

P/S: Just finished reading the manual. At the last line: "2.Update of maps is free of charge within first 60 days of new vehicle delivery. Beyond the allocated time frame, updates become paid. "

Did any feels that the Fluence headlamp were not bright enough even the levelling at the highest level..? the bright coverage range seems quite low.... as in i maintain a safe distance with the car front ( not too far from the car front, around 1 myvi of distance).... i cant even shine the rear of the front car......
*
Same here. I read in user manual it can be adjusted by turning a screw near the headlamp unit under bonnet. Will check with mechanic during next service in December.

The complete maintenance schedule & pricelist is available on official website http://fluence.com.my/
I am on 5 years free maintenance package so I not sure whether the price list is valid or not.

Saw a photo shared in the group, showing how to adjust the headlamp beam height manually by screw. Worth to try.
Actually I just had my 2nd service yesterday and the mechanic told me the main beam height is not adjustable by screw, only high beam height is adjustable by screw. sweat.gif

If anyone plan to update Rlink, think twice. After i update, now i cannot play video when car is moving. It's good for safety reason, but not good for us as end user.

What happened?

Did you sent to SC or DIY?
*
DIY. Nothing wrong actually. I think it is normal that newer system will automatically disable video playback when car is moving, to prevent distraction to driver. In fact many cars has similar interlock, including my friend's new Honda Accord. Before update, the old Rlink system don't have such safety interlock.
If I had a choice, i would like to keep the old system as passengers still can enjoy video when i'm driving. So far I didn't notice any other differences between new n old system.

Did you update the map or RLink media apps?

What is the driving factor to update, is there any interesting feature or better icons?
*
When i plug in sdcard with rlink updater running on pc, rlink system updated automatically. It took quite some time. I update just to c anything new. So far only notice video n photo playback not allowed when car is moving.

QUOTE(aaron1717 @ Dec 28 2015, 09:06 AM)
usually wad format of video would you use for R-link? As i had a few mp4 videos in my fon... but the R-link cant detect it at all.....  sad.gif  sad.gif
*
I can play mp4. In fact most of my video is in mp4 format.

Did you manage to get SC to solve the problem no.4? Just notice mine has the same issue.
*
For problem 4 mine still not solve. The service guy said it was due to the removable seat friction with the mounting on chassis. He tried to put some foam but it only ok for a while then come back again. Will complain again next service.
