Never had that problem with my iPhone 4 running iOS 6...
Previously on IOS 7 I was able to listen to music and change tracks through my Car Music system which has 'IPod Control ". Now with IOS 8 it has problems reading tracks and sometimes when playing will not allow you to change tracks....
