QUOTE(shockk @ Sep 22 2014, 12:54 PM) Thanks for the heads-up. Will refrain updating to iOS 8 for my iPad Mini until they fix this major issue. Anyone who have updated their iPhone to iOS 8 and having WIFI issues ever since, give this a try, as it seems to be working on my iPhone 5sJust have to monitor it for the next few days to confirm it is a permanent fix QUOTE Disable a Wi-Fi System Service Setting If resetting network settings did nothing for you, you may want to experiment with toggling off a wi-fi system setting. MacRumors reports that some users have had a positive impact by disabling this setting, though it’s not entirely clear what exactly this specific setting controls (it is possible it’s a wi-fi based geolocation service, hence why it’s in Location Services settings). Head to the Settings app, go to “Privacy” and then to “Location Services”, where at the bottom you will find “System Services”, then flip the switch to disable Wi-Fi Networking. This does NOT turn off wireless networking in iOS. SoS |

QUOTE(lightning69 @ Sep 28 2014, 11:21 AM) Upgrade to iOS 8 last night by iTunes full restore. Did notice that wifi is really slow but I did try the fix. Looks like it's working. which fix you did?The best thing about iOS 8 is the font size which is much bigger and the implementation is system wide which make it really easy on the eye. Love it. In terms of performance I did notice very slight lag sometimes but overall it's still very zippy. So far no crash oh hang and seems like it's very good on my 5s, tried all the fix from changing the dns, turning off wifi networking did not work. it is only a temporary solution, after a while it will become slow again. |
