QUOTE(badang_1785 @ Jun 2 2014, 08:03 PM) I think its not the same coz during thunderstorm I still can watch the singapore channel. Mine is unwatchable in heavy rain. I use a 130 MYR (shipping included) DVB-T2 decoder from China, plus the indoor antenna that I have been using for 10 years. Distortion is significant, compared to analog. In any case, I have the TM FTTH IPTV to fall back to when needed, but different channels. This post has been edited by hwt: Jun 2 2014, 08:21 PM

QUOTE(badang_1785 @ Jun 2 2014, 08:23 PM) I only use vhf and UHF antenna with booster. Maybe your location us too far. I'm from batu pahat. I am just a few kilometers from the northen Singapore border.

QUOTE(badang_1785 @ Jun 2 2014, 08:31 PM) Lol better buy LCD TV with digital tuner Not sure if that can make any difference. I bought this 32-inch full HD LCD TV for 1999 MYR. I hope to use it for many many year to recoup the 'investment'. Perhaps I need a roof top antenna, but I do not want the TV to be fried by lightning.

QUOTE(Rustaman69 @ Jun 8 2014, 02:12 AM) Why they give the set top box to the 'needy' when most of em still using analogue tv? They'll give it bundled with tv for free ah? The purpose of the set top box is precisely that - to enable everyone without a digital tuner to continue watching TV when analog broadcast is turned off.

QUOTE(izz70 @ Jun 20 2014, 12:00 PM) No chance for BR1M but if the price range for STB is below RM200 then should be ok as some people were willing to purchase the illegal Skybox/Openbox/Dreambox for more than that amount. Hopefully they'll give a tax incentive for that purchase. The retail price of a cheap DVB-T2 set top box is less than 100 MYR in China. Mine is about 80 MYR. Just search in taobao.

DVB T2 decoder on sale in Thailand. About 100 MYR. A mobile version to be attached to the micro USB port of a phone, is also sold at the same price. Just that the staff could not detect TV signals using my phone. http://www.geniatech.com/pa/pt360.aspThis post has been edited by hwt: Aug 10 2015, 02:50 AM
