Whats the best tension for beginners - intermediate player?

Currently I am on 25lbs, very hard to hit, need alot power.

If I lower down to 23lbs ok ah?

yes, lower ur tension if u feel that u need a lot of power to hit, else, go build ur muscle

but it also depends on ur racket whether it's stiff/flex

isn't more tension the better to put power into the shuttle rather than a soft springy string that absorbs energy

Higher tension - more effort in smashes and drives, but better control. Beginner and intermediate players should start at 24lbs or lower.

Are there any big difference if I reduce string tension from 25lbs to 24 lbs? Or should I go 23lbs?

i found myself better with lower tension. its easy to control the dropshot. where high tension, u can smash with higher power. Dropshot is harder with high tension bcoz the shuttle doesnt bounce that easily compared to lower tension

Not by much. The major thing is what string you use.

What racket do you use? Because if you put high tension and play with a stiff racket, it takes much more effort to smash. But I do well with dropshots and drives when my tension is 26lbs.

yes. it takes more energy to smash with higher tension. for me, lower tension racket is better for dropshot. if opponent smash in a nice direction, u just need to put ur racket at good angel so it will bounce nicely back to them. U cannot do so with high tension racket, u have to hit it.

Weird. I find higher tension = better control hence better drop shot since you need force to smash...easier to disguise smash to as drop shot by slicing

ini kasi my 2 kupang..

For the Voltric z-force2, the feel is much more accurate if compare to what I used (Xcentric 99, NS9900). better net control and sharper smash...
But, head heavy, very hard when fast double and defend in the front. sweat.gif
arcsaber no chance to try.... doh.gif

Interesting. What string do you use? I do the same as yours, but I use a repulsive, thin string.

Voltric not recommended for doubles wei.head heavy swing is abit slow (maybe because im not muscular enough gua). Been using arcsaber series since last 3 years..recently broken my arcsaber 10 due to racquet head clashing with partner sigh.
