melee attack? Resource generator u mean?. You will need 6 Akkhan bonus to allow you perma Akarat. with 4 piece akkhan bonus, skill cost -50%. also wrath regen is higher during Akarat form. If still not enough, use Law of Valor (Unstoppable force rune) and if still not good enough use Long Arm the Law passive. Some skill like Provoke, Shield Glare can give wrath too..

Your skills. Do you actually have enough wrath to non stop spamming the skills?

Crusaders usually go for high cooldown reduction so that can maintain permanent or near-permanent Akarat's Champion. And also Laws of Valor with Unstoppable Force rune. Akkhan's set is not crafted, but drops in Rifts, Greater Rifts, anywhere/randomly in the world in Adventure Mode (say for example when you doing bounties), and also can obtain via gambling at the NPC Kadala. You may pay attention to the set bonuses of Akkhan's as well to have an idea how people spamming Wrath spenders without having any Wrath generator skills on their skill bar.

Thanks for your advice. Currently got akkhan boots on rift. Going to hunt for the second item. I get 1 legendary belt which cast bombardment every 8 sec. Kinda nice for easy kills.

When gearing up you should keep watch for a Vigilante's belt. it's the only belt that has cooldown reduction on it. We also try to have cdr on weapon. Good luck.

best weapon ancient furnace, ancient Heart Slaughter, ancient Baleful Remnant.... if cant get 1 of this weapon, u can use any 2hand weapon with high damage...

u must have this weapon Blade of Prophecy



gear,
akkan champion set + rorg + leoric crown
u mush have 55.6% cooldown reduce

this belt better than Vigilante Belt... try get 6 sec.... by teh way, if u cooldown not 55.6%, u need vigilante belt...

Gear:
1) 3 sets of roland set
2) 3 sets of akkhan set
3) 2h weapon = golden flense
4) shield = the final witness
5) & of course d set reduction ring (Ring of Royal Grandeur)

Playing style:
1) sweep attack when there is large group of enemy (pull effect ruin & wrath regen by weapon)
2) shield bash for 1 on 1, or on elite ([1320%+500%] high dmg range from 250~300m, 400~450m when akarat mode)
3) shield glare to blind & wrath regen (thx to roland set & passive skill "towering shield", cooldown very fast)
4) iron skin for def

Roland with Furnace/Piro Marella using Crumble Shield Bash
Managable wrath resource thanks to law and shield glare which cooldown is lowered per shieldbash/sweep attack cast

Alot of feedback mentioning crumble is a better choice due to the smaller aoe to utilized the unique bracer's effect ( which I dont have it yet ) and having a big aoe potential provided you landed the kill

Survivability relies on
1.spamming shield bash to lower the cooldown for Iron Skin faster which is no issue thanks to +35% atk speed per cast that stacks 5 times
2.cheat death passive
3.gem that generates shield based on 200% of life per second on rank 25 after 4 sec of no combat
4.gem that reduce non physical damage

I've tested with Focus/Restraint and it reached 300 mil if you have both buffs up and running which is a great combo with Punish ( not to mention with the belt that gives all Punish passive ) / Shield Bash
Now I need the bloody bracers and I'm all set

Few problems
1. high grifts are a problem though in trying to survive, now gonna lean more towards life per second gears to help generate that shield with bigger hp
2. single target high dps, multiple tanky mobs might take some time, if small trash mobs then crumble will proc alot clearing it fast
3. pretty close range if you ask me and have to face target head on, making some trouble if facing electric/arcane/poison types
