Okay guys...um..need some of ur profesional advices....i thought of creating a new thread so it wud be easier for ppl to comment, but i dont think it wud be a good idea...
I am kinda in a dilemma now....i would like to get a new HP (doh!)....but i am undecided which to choose...
Its definitely between SE K800 or Nokia N80.
I kinda understand from both threads of the pohnes i read theu (took me a damn long time to read everythin) and also comparisons n reviews from gsmarena.
Basically for K800, it has better picture taking qualities.....n um...dats basically d PRO over N80...i am not too sure about MP3 playin comparisons for both phones though...
N80, i know dats its more like a "business" type of phone...its main advantages is the internet browser and WLAN. So, its a smart phone, close to a PDA, and in a way cud be a replacement for a laptop for mobile connectivity (wud like to get a laptop, but not in budget ATM)
So i am basically torn in between these 2 phones....i wana know, how bout Games functions? Ok, i wud list down my preferences and mebe some of u ppl who knows more than me cud give me a better idea of wut to get...
1. I wud like to hav mobile connectivity where i can surf the net, wud be nice to be able to use WIFI at hotspots....(guess N80 wins here?)
2. Between N80 n K800, which would be closest to a PDA/Laptop in terms of functions? ( i gues N80 wins here too...)
3. For entertainment? Games? MP3...which one has a better Video Playback?
4. Which is easier to use? n has a better OS? as in wont lag much or etc? More user friendly? Durabality?
5. Expansion wise, which wud be better? MIni SD? M2?
6. Camera wise? Hm i am aware dat K800 wins hands down...but N80 also aint dat bad rite? Video Capture? i kno dat K800 video capture is lousy...how bout N80?
7.
hm..ran outof ideas..but dats basically wut my preferences are...so i hope some of u guys cud give me some feedback....thanx in advance!
ps : hope i cud get some unbiased opinions here

...thanx...

Was once deciding between N80 and K800 too, but I guess I'm going to get N80 (only when the price drops), if not other phones.
Let me try to answer your questions first. I am neither a K800 nor N80 user, never use them before also but solely based on my research and common sense. Please also feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
1. Yea, N80 is the winner. Unless you don't mind to pay for the cost of expensive 3G usage charge. But point to ponder - wifi drains battery very fast... so whether it is practical or not is another matter altogeher.
2. N80 i guess, K800 is not even qualified as a smart phone. PDA replacement? maybe...Laptop replacement? nope... You'll get totally different experience when surfing web/viewing documents/playing video etc. using laptop. The screen of N80/K800, though is big, still has limitation.
3. No idea about sound quality. Have read some review elsewhere. Some said cannot see real difference between the two, some said K800 is slightly better. For games, you can find only java games in K800 while you can fine symbian games also in N80.
4. Definitely K800. Never use a symbian phone before, but so far never seen a single SE user complaining about "oh my phone is so slow!!!!!" (which is very common when i scan through S60 phone threads). I have to make sure that I can accept the speed of symbian phones before spending my cash.
5. To me they are the same, just a format anyway. But definitely MiniSD is more common hence I think will be cheaper.
6. K800 wins...has better camera, Autofocus, Xenon-flash and Sony's know-how bla bla bla (though I can see a lot of people are expecting too much from SE...come on guys don't forget it's mainly a phone, not camera). If you're not someone who's very particular on camera quality, N80's one is definitely acceptable. And when it comes to video capture, N80 will be the obvious winner.
7. Extra poins here...K800 doesn't look appealing in term of design for me. I prefer the design of N80, but I'm still considering between N80 and N73 and maybe other options, guess K800 already out of list now. But no offence guys, it's just the matter of preference.
8. In term of price...K800 is a lot more friendly (rather understandable because of its relatively simpler functions)
