directly go to 4.6.6.... no 4.6.1... doh.gif
*
What's the matter? The number represents the date as version. Tomorrow is the release date for developer rom, so 4.6.6 is correct.

wah, so fast wanna root maa?  biggrin.gif
*
I straight flash my Mi3 to dev rom on the first day. laugh.gif

QUOTE(ychlee @ Jun 5 2014, 07:12 PM)
I'm using stock + stable rom.
i create a new folder downloaded_rom, and copy and paste the dev rom inside.
go to updater but i cannot find the option "select installation file"
why ya?
*
Try to search for update first, when it says no update or whatsoever, click the menu and the "select installation file" options will be available. biggrin.gif

I think the "select installation file " not available in stable rom. U need to rename the ROM to update.zip and place in root of the phone, then select "select update package"
*
Oh ya, forgot that point. Rename the rom to update.zip

few weeks didn't come in, version 7 liau sweat.gif

guys, any of you having this issue?
my mi3 doesn't seem to register long press.
for example, if i press and hold an icon, it should give me the open to move it or uninstall (swipe up to the dust bin)

now i see the dust bin icon for 1s then poof its gone
it happened 2 days after i started to use it (not even fully used since haven't transferred the data). so i did a factory reset and it was working nicely. now it's back again in less than a week sad.gif any thoughts? i didn't root the phone. most drastic i've done is change the theme only.
*
Try change the theme again. I do face some UI problem on dev rom which can be solved by restarting, but not this kind of problem yet to happen on my phone.

QUOTE(ychlee @ Jun 5 2014, 08:46 PM)
Rename update.zip, the option is not showing
Or i need to boot into recovery mode?
*
Try boot into recovery and install the update.zip from there. If it doesn't work, I would suggest you to install CWM Recovery to replace the stock recovery for more options and easier rom flashing, if you know what CWM recovery is for at the first place. laugh.gif

QUOTE(akecema @ Jun 5 2014, 09:53 PM)
still cant
this i do

download dev room
rename to update.zip
put at root

enter recovery mode
wipe cache and user data
apply update.zip

end up with 'install update.zip failed
*
This only happen when you installed the wrong dev rom. You should download it should from WCDMA section, not TDCMA.

Yes, only 2G network will work. It doesn't support our local network 3G band.

Wahh i see singapore already brought in xiaomi IEMs and RedMis . I guess Malaysia always the slowpoke ones sad.gif
*
They just entered Malaysia 3 weeks ago, and they only target our market with Mi3. Not that Malaysia is slowpoke, but it's still early. By next year you'll see Xiaomi will be offering much more in Malaysia than in Singapore.

Still Snapdragon 800, then again who care so long is fast & no lag.  thumbup.gif

It's either 800 or 801, but doesn't care, the current benchmark score is enough to make you happy. laugh.gif
