Hello to everyone who doubt on Paypal.

It is very simple and don't get confused.

1. You are paying to Xiaomi Malaysia , hence you will not getting any extra charge on top of your total amount + the item is in Ringgit Malaysia not foreign currency, you will not get extra charge.

2. if you have an active paypal account, for the first time you like it with your CreditCard / DebitCard, it will charge you 1-3USD. after that any transaction you did via your paypal account, will not get any charge on transaction fee's

3. if you are not paying to Xiaomi Malaysia via paypal account, but using the CreditCard/DebitCard option directly, You will get charge USD 1 per transaction.



well, if you looking for someone to advice & give you the confident to buy it.
Just go for it, I can't say it is the 100% good phone..
but with such value, you can get a flagship model hardware (like sammy,htc)
+ the MIUI (software part) is a plus point.. basically you can't regret what you get for a RM889 phone.

@BuFung you can adjust your weather app setting, change from High Accuracy to low battery mode.

The camera is there but the apps used by xiaomi3 good enough and it doesn't look nice (if you compare with other phone)

but if you install other camera apps on xiaomi3, it is different story.

even with cheapo quality headset, once you enable this function, the sound is impressive

please open > Updater > press "menu" button > select "Get latest version of MIUI" > if your "Update (450~510MB)" look like this, mean you required to update it.

at the same time i show this to you, i got new update

if you press your power button twice or hold a bit longer, it will become like that..

I can't explain it, the first time i root it, i got a lot of bug and error, after I did the update, everything work perfect.
and Yes, now my update files is 480mb and i just done it, now some application have CWM with it.

I just plug in my phone to PC , I didn't show me USB damage.


Stable ROM is JB 4.2
Dev ROM is now KK 4.4

yo, charge till it reach 95~100% then unplug it, this will prolong your battery life.

doing this too frequent, you will find your phone battery degraded.
some bro already explain, although modern phone have protection circuit, but once it minus from 100% to 99%, it will start charging and when hit 100% it stop again, so you are stressing your phone battery.

yeaahh, DEV ROM is good !!! but you have to be ready if any bug occur, you need google it for some time

that the reason why you can't get it right
you need to find "google installer" in Mi Market and have those relevant application install
you also need go to "Updater > press "Menu" > Select > get latest MIUI > then choose "update"

I am not sifu la, you can always check the settings on those apps, it is a pain to figure it out until set it right.
to start with
1. Security > permission > Auto-start management/permission manager
just allow those apps you want it to be auto-start and run in background.
2. if your weather is taking up your battery juice, go to your weather apps settings, change the refresh interval to 1 hour or none ( depend on your preference )
I guess you still in stable mode which the weather app is using Accuweather (this apps drain juice a lot )

3. lastly, once your settings all done, reboot it once and try again.

to play Asphalt 8 in Dev rom, you need to use Medium resolution setting ( this not your phone or MIUI issue, but more toward Asphalt 8 not yet update to support KK 4.4 )

Which is another way round...
(OH Wait ! I can't recall d, but I can ensure you that using med settings can play it )


BTW, I am trying the Google Camera and have snapped few photo, too bad cannot upload now.
the blur effect is nice, sames goes to the 360"

I am not photographer, so for them maybe it is bad camera/phone/[what ever your like to fill in here] and yet it is RM899 phone.
