All I want to is this:
Is the game realistic? Does infantry and armour take realistic damage (1 bazooka shot may or may not insta-kill a tank)? Is the infantry AI better than the retarded drones from Blitzkrieg?

If yes, I'm all over this. Too bad my PC is down though sad.gif

This game is modeled realistically without compromising gameplay. Tanks for instance take more damage at the rear then the front or sides. The components of the tanks can also be affected when there is too much damage like the engines or the main gun. Sometimes, tanks also go out of control when theres too much damage then its pretty much screwed.

Weapons like the bazooka will only work well if used accordingly to where you fire it on tanks and they don't give insta kills even if you shoot the rear it usually takes 2 shots at the rear to destroy it, 1 shot usually just disables it(ie. engines or main guns).

Infantry work pretty much like in DOW but the AI is much more improved & more smarter. They automatically take cover when being shot and move like real soldiers. There is still so much more I can say about such as the commander abilities but that will end up taking an entire page.

Errr, that's NOT what I wanted to hear.

Zookas CAN instakill tanks if fired properly... Conversely, you could fire a dozen times and only leave a small dent.

Anti tank weapons have an effect on tanks the same way bullets have an effect on body armour. As long as the shot is powerful enough to penetrate the armour, it WILL go through most of the time (Depending on angle, distance, luck, etc.). And once the armour is compromised, the entire integrity of the tank is down the gutter (Armour is kinda like hull integrity in a way)

So, a bazooka shot, which has the ability to puncture a whole in a Panzer, should be able to either break the armour and cook the contents, or not do a damn thing. This was why tanks NEVER charged at anti-tank guns since one shot would be fatal for a tank.

Play Close Combat or Soldiers and you'll see what I mean. Positioning and firepower is good in armour warfare, but at the end of the day, luck is the most important factor.

I'll still give this a shot if it isn't very RTS-ey in other aspects.

/hope fades in yet another game that could've replaced Close Combat

Hunt: Yeah well, in spite of the fact that I can't stand most of the newer WW2 RTS', I MUST try them (Unless they're sequels to something that I didn't like before).

So, yes, I will give this a shot... As soon as I get my PC back up.
