This game graphic is very good ,i think the graphic is better than C&C 3.

Not necessarily. You need one of the following three statements to be true:
1) an active internet connection, OR
2) the DVD in the drive, OR
3) you bought the game on STEAM or Direct2Drive

Is the DVD protected in some way?

If you buy the retail release then the game uses SecuROM protection when you create or transfer your account to verify your media. Once you're online you do not require the media to play. If you're playing offline you will need to validate the media.

Is this like the Windows product activation? Will I have to reactivate if I change my hardware? What if I reformat?

No, you won't. You can reformat your computer as often as you like, and change as many hardware components as you want. This will not affect your online account in any way.

Can I install the game on multiple machines?

Yes. You can only play it on one machine at a time, but you can install it on as many PCs as you like.

What happens if I forgot my password?

You can either use an in-game option to reset it, or you can call customer support.

Can I have multiple accounts?

Only if you buy multiple versions of the game. One account per CD key.

What's all this key transfer stuff?

Unless you are planning to buy a used version of CoH or sell your version (say on eBay for instance), this won't affect you. The transfer rules are supposed to ensure that if you buy the game from someone you actually get to play it, since the CD key is tied to the seller's online account.

What if I own the game but I don't have a Relic Online (RO) account yet?

Not a problem, you can create one with either CoH or CoH:OF.

I'm planning on buying the combo of CoH/OF if Steam offers such a package at a low price (which they usually do). I have CoH already. Would I be able to use my old account with the new CD keys I have?

You will be able to use your original account(s) with OF.

I'm worried about OF now. The Aussie version of the game is cannot be patched atm and seeing we're will be getting the same version..we're screwed until Relic get a patch to fix a patch for it.

Update (4:30 PM EST Sept 27th 2007): We believe we have a fix for this issue. We are putting out a patch ASAP today that should fix this.

Back up your saved games. You must COMPLETELY uninstall Company of Heroes/Opposing Fronts from your system. Please make sure the CoH/OF folder in My Games (in My Documents) is gone, otherwise there may be old patch info in it. Then REINSTALL the game. It should then connect to the server and download a new patch.

at the main page when you start the game (the select profile page). There's a tab > Add Product. there you can key in your COH cd key and the old races will be unlocked.
