i wonder can acer IPS match dell's IPS?

Dell s-series is far more pricey than Acer's 2k yet FHD only.

hi, I  want to upgrade my monitor to a 1440p monitor, based on my budget, i want to get either:

Acer Nitro XV series (not sure which variant)
Acer ED323QURA

Are the monitors are good to go or is there any other option that is better than these 2 ?
*
Dell 27'' got 2k variant and their build is always top notch.

Hi, Viewsonic VX3276-2k-mhd-2 is this good for coding and video editing ?
*
based on my previous experience, the display is quite good.

But built quality is not my liking and dont have display manager in order to change preset settings.

If just for works, it's good. cant adjust height tho.

it's really value for money laugh.gif

Agree. I like your advice.
I understand that you don't go for value monitors. So I guess you also consider HDR, brightness, number of ports, ports version etc?
For my case, i am looking for a budget monitor of that specs. Since there are many factors, I had to prioritize certain specs (the ones I listed) as my basic requirements and also for comparison, if there are extra bells and whistles.
*
Dell will always drop the price of S2721DS(rm979)/SE2723DS(rm839?) alternate week. keep an eye on that.

i bought S2721DS(rm979) + 4% discount + rm18.99 cashback on end of april.

but lead-time is around 1month at the moment, given a call by dell that ETA is end of MAY.

if can wait, can check them out.

Btw anyone knows what's the historical lowest price for Dell S2721DGF?

Thanks so much for sharing this.

Have you received your S2721DS? I read that the stand is wobbly.
Other than that, any feedback on your usage of it?
*
Yes it's wobbly if u touch it, it will wobble too if u type aggressively given your desk is not solid wood laugh.gif

the 'estate' gained is not too much if compares to 23/24" 1080p, not as awesome as 2k 32" (for work) but tbh, 27" really is the best size.

height adjustment is easy but rotating is a pain in the @ss, only can rotate if your desk is totally 'clean' or clutter-less.

dell display manager also not fully auto set the brightness/contrast, need to adjust manually, the presets only change the color scheme. dunno why my previous S2340 presets will auto set the brightness/contrast accordingly.

Lol.
Most folks don't type aggressively unless they are angry, are testing the wobble or one of the keys is stuck stubbornly.
Hope it won't wobble at all during a 'normal' situation?

Ya, 27 inch seems like a sweet spot for now.

Do you mean you had stuff under your monitor before you rotated it to portrait mode?

The display issue is a bummer. Do you need to adjust it every time you switch it on?

Other than the above, I assume it is a budget monitor that is worth its price, given minimum bells and whistles?
*
normal typing is not causing any serious wobbling to me laugh.gif

u cannot put any speaker on the side, need to take the hdmi cable length into consideration too. if u wish to rotate it & to rotate, u need to max the height, tilt it max, only can rotate. rclxub.gif

the display manager really sux, cant change settings on the fly. need to adjust it everytime u change from night to day, re-adjust to watch movie & gaming.

yes, given the price & specs, value for money. if going for SE model, even more cheaper laugh.gif

Oh ok. Got it.
Just have to live with the issues then. Minor ones.
Which SE model? SE2723DS?
*

1080p=2k
1440p=2.5k
2160p=4k
2880p=5k

I'd assume you mean 32" at 2.5k... if the monitor sits further away... or 32"@ 4k if the monitor is much closer (short depth desk space)....
*
my knowledge of 2k is 1440p sweat.gif

indeed, even 1440p of 32" also need to be at least 60cm away.

great for racing games but too big for dota2 laugh.gif but excellent for excel file with lotsa columns. overkill for browsing but if using zoom + browsing will be nice.

Any major difference between this model and S2721DS? Or just the pivot capability and different base stand?
*
nope, only minus pivot thingy & speakers. i've made a comparison on dell websites.

https://www.dell.com/en-my/shop/compare?ocs...0-axfz,210-beex

still can adjust height.

Oh ok.

The speakers are not that good I heard.

I guess if we want the pivot function, we have to choose the more expensive of the two, like what you did.
Otherwise, we will have to buy a new monitor arm or reuse an existing monitor arm, to have portrait mode for the cheaper version of the monitor.
I don't want to damage my table, so I prefer the pivot stand but I know the arm is more elegant.
*
phone speakers sounds better than it. the speakers is usable if u can stand the lousy quality.

i still got a dell voucher lol..let me know if interested.
