Just got myself XB271HU even though using radeon, but damn even without gsync, running dota 2 it is crystal clear and so smooth. Should've got it months ago...

Well, all i can say is mixed feelings. I feel the Gsync compatible isn't that bad, it's still smooth but very slightly less smooth than real gsync.

The newer panel of the XV272HU obviously has better brightness and colour gamut, DCIP3 vs XB271HU's sRGB. better contrast on the XB271HU, but sometimes things looked too dark and you need to adjust the black level in the settings. Faster and smoother OSD on the XV272HU but the settings itself are more clunky. 1ms doesn't work with freesync (gsync compatible uses this), no extreme overdrive with freesync. My game has funny game freeze whenever I turn my monitor back on while still inside the game, I need to minimize the screen to desktop and back to the game to have it run again (minor issue). My XB271HU only limitation is gsync can't be run with ULMB, well because of obvious reasons, but no other limitations on like certain settings will be disabled with gsync turned on, and the graphics card communicates with gsync better, just works.

But the biggest disappointment for me is, the panel seems like slow, even though it had advertised faster gtg for the the XV272HU, but panning in games especially on first person games felt the images doesn't move or showed fast enough and seemed like it was very little bit "slideshowy". The XB271HU is way smoother. I don't know if it was the LCD panel or the gsync-compatible without nvidia gsync processor in the monitor. So the XV272HU felt like and upgrade and downgrade at the same time. Plus I can't find the monitor with gsync at the shop and I had to buy one yesterday before lockdown haha. I'll just live with it for now, abit annoying but 144 is still better than 60hz monitor.

The XB271HU has better stand, the XV272U has HDMI 2.0 and two of them, 3 years warranty for the XV272U too even thought it's a budget 1440p 144hz monitor. The XV272U was colour calibrated by acer at the factory which is really nice, comes with a certificate too. XB271HU has slightly smaller bezel at the top, left and right. There's Acer predator model almost like the XV272HU too with rm2299 price tag, no idea that would fair, i didn't pick that because it's using gsync compatible too (I would have picked that if it had real gsync board in it)

When I used the XB271HU I prefer the Gsync too, the ULMB was not bright enough ans limited to 120Hz.

27" 2560x1440 240Hz monitor developments seems slow

any manufacturer already release budget monitor with this specs? tq

asus one is rm4k, so steep price increase vs 27" 1920x1080 240hz monitors

Any idea if we will get this model in Malaysian market or is it already being brought in? Seems like a nice budget 1440p 240hz monitor (USA msrp $300), I would immediately buy this for fortnite and valorant
