anyone done MSI monitor rma before?

So while trying to figure out the rma i was checking out other monitors.

This was a nice oled monitor by gigabyte

another cheaper oled (its still expensive. but cheaper as in relative to the other oled offerings currently)

But it has some cons. So i thought the gigabyte was better 

If you don't want to pay 2-3k, then you have to look at ips monitor for 27'' 1440p

Not really sure 280 vs 240 is much difference.

But what's different is the next gen LG OLED display for the upcoming gigabyte OLED priced about $499 usd for. 27'' 1440p using the latest tandem OLED LG display tech

Whereas oleds right now go for $700 +

Also tech improvements for better brightness, less risk for burn in, more durable, less heat generated less power consumption.

Sub 2k qd oled has entered the market. Acer x27u looks promising. But no much review

If the price keeps trending downward it might be a good time for me to go OLED next year

im tempted to go OLED

but thinking about extra cares needed and my living room is kinda bright most of time

i think i will go with Mini LED

I'm also wondering the same coz this seems to be the cheapest OLED monitor out there now. To be able to get sub 1.8k for OLED is quite tempting. Just hoping for some reviews to appear soon.

Actually those between 2-2.5k all mostly don't have usb c connectivity. AOC, MSI, dahua all don't think I saw one at that price range that has it. At least this has HDMI 2.1, but not like I'll use it anyway 😅.

Those wondering if the qd OLED 27'' 1440p 280hz panel for the https://www.gigabyte.com/Monitor/MO27Q2A. Has gen 4 similar to the mo27u2, I don't think it does. Because they omitted it on their product page. They wouldn't be keeping quiet about it otherwise. But the 4k 280hz panel mo27u2 this one confirm has it.

So not sure for qd OLED r they gonna bring gen4 for that or will.woled gen4 be the only option for that this year for the 280hz 1440p resolution panels.

So if ur waiting for.the mo27q2a for that don't bother. Only thing I saw change was 280hz 🙄

Any advise for qd OLED semi glossy placement. The light source coming through this window behind where I place monitor. Is this too close to window? Will I see the nasty magenta in this lighting condition?

Or should I move the gaming desk further away from wall will that help? Or not needed



Usually very bright around 8am to 12 afternoon. Rest of the day brightness not bad using blinds. With lighting off the lighting in room is still softly bright but not glaringly so.

Is that ok for this qd OLED monitor 🤔

At night I got a light stand I can face it away from the monitor so that won't be an issue. I use a smart iot lighbulb led so I can adjust the brightness and color so I can fine tune the brightness in room even more

Hopefully I didn't make wrong choice going qd OLED + semi glossy 😅

Fyi I use a monitor arm so I can place the monitor further back from my face. It's very convenient. Also some speaker stands.for better ear positioning for the edifier qr65 speakers

I use felt large desk mat for gaming mouse but it's hard to clean. Thinking about replacing it with something else not sure yet. Maybe leather? 🤔

as for cleaning (physically) the monitor screen, early on i notice a dirt smudge on the panel. so i damped a fiber cloth, rinse it as much as i can so its damp and not totally wet dripping. then i try to wipe off the smudge. But it simply left a smear. So i took another micro fiber and did a wipe to dry the water trail.
So i'm doubtful just plain water and micro fiber cloth enough.
Is wet wipes doable or will that ruin the screen?
