Hardware Unboxed did a review on the Samsung Odyssey G7:
That response time....
I am eyeing on this unit or maybe G9. However after checking out a few review, almost everyone is complaining about the 1000R curve. A bit skeptic now. Currently using Xiaomi 34" 1500R, the curve is just nice. 1000R can be a bit on the extreme side if you sit too far away from the display. Also, HDR is not the best. Will look for more preview before making up my mind.
Just received my new 27" Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF monitor, and I’m already impressed! The build quality feels solid, and the brightness is noticeably higher than my existing Odyssey Neo G7. The only adjustment? Getting used to the smaller 27" screen after coming from a 43" display.
I tested a few 3D movie clips from YouTube, and the effect is incredibly immersive—especially with high-quality 4K sources. The depth and realism are cinema-level, rivaling an IMAX experience.
Most of my current games don’t support 3D, but I picked up Khazan: The Last Berzerker (co-developed by Samsung to showcase this monitor’s 3D capabilities). Excited to test it tonight and see how it performs!
Will update with more thoughts after further testing. So far, very promising!
Nice, what about the 3D AI video conversion? Does that work for normal games too?
The 3D AI video conversion is not working properly at this moment. After the conversion, the display is always out and needs a lot of 3D tuning in the Reality hub which I never have any success so far. But if the source is good in 4K SBS, you can expect an IMAX experience. The 3D is superb. Game-wise, the supported game is super nice in 3D. For example, Khazan The Last Berserker, game is a phenomenon in 3D. The background depth is so convincing. Once you experience it in 3D, you will never return to the normal 2D format.
Tested Khazan, Dragonball Z Kakarot Ultimate, F.I.S.T Forged in Shadow Torch, Disney Epic Mickey Mouse Rebrushed, SpongeBob Square Pants The Cosmic Shake, Lies of P and Stray. The 3D is really convincing. The background, stage depth is very clear, detail and smooth. Once you experienced them, you won't be able to go back to normal 2D format. Very very worth it. FIST Forged in the Shadow Torch. Running at 170++
Stray @290++
Dragonball Z Kakarot @290++

Sounds like the next big thing for monitors if they can get the AI-generated 3D thing working for games and videos without the built-in 3D Still, even with just the games, it sounds tempting. Wonder if they'll have an OLED version too.
Found a way to run the non-supported game in 3D. Just simply select any game in the Reality Hub and point the path to the game you want to play and viola. I was able to get The Elderly Scroll Remaster, R-Type 2 Final in 3D with no problem.
The A.I auto conversion is working as intended. I can convert all the YouTube and normal movies into a 3D version on the fly. But the quality depends on the source you watched.

Thanks for the initial review. Sounds cool. However, I can't convince myself to downgrade from 55 monitor to 27 monitor, too big difference How was your experience from 43 to 27? Pretty sure u lose a lot of viewing space correct?
Still coping with it. Ya, the screen is way smaller than my G7.
