You can look for some korean monitor, saw some sellers here. They are essentially the same price as our 23-24 inch monitor.
*
can get a bad or good unit so it can be troublesome if really unlucky

now i'm considering buying a tv instead since i watch movie more than gaming nowdays

Haha. TV still refusing to adopt ultra HD. Thats why. laugh.gif doh.gif
*
in tech things too fast..awhile fullhd then uhd then later on don't know what again..for average joe out there too hard to keep following and people mostly don't care anymore

people like me want to get a decent reasonably priced 1440p monitor also hard..manufacturers can put any price they want cause they can..sigh sad.gif

*
what monitor you using now? below 1K U2414H is the best choice..won't go wrong choosing dell ultrasharp

or better add another one or two to do dual or triple setup..once you go dual or triple you wont go back to single setup tongue.gif

Try one S series glossy and one Ulttasharp ma..

I see the new model selling by Dell HK same price as U2414H ..
*
where got nice..no uniformity and the S series stand can only tilt no height or turn into portrait mode

two similar monitor side by side this only looks good

and we only live once so spend the money! tongue.gif

Heught adjustment is really so useful?

height adjustment can be useful, like me im tall and my table is also kinda low so without adjustment the monitor is too low..with adjustment its perfect for my view

hi guise. any good upcoming monitor that u guise spotted on CES 2016 videos or any forums?
looking to buy one with 2k budget.. preferably 1440p screen..
hope to see more 1440p large size monitor at reasonable price :hype:
*
2k can buy you dell U2715H, benq bl2710pt and i dont know anymore else

1440p should be the mainstream for pc but after all these years it's not instead 1080p takes over

so 1440p become kinda niche so price won't be going cheap and with next gen gpu focus on 4k so that leave 1080p the budget segment

1440p niche 4k super niche laugh.gif doh.gif

1080p is like windows XP era where the thing cannot die off till 10 years later laugh.gif doh.gif
*
actually i think 4k adoption is growing bigger and faster with 4k tv getting cheaper, tv are not that great compare to a monitor but some are very capable and works well for many people just as a display

i know cause im tempted, i saw a panasonic 40 inch 4k tv going less than RM2K..i seriously thinking of buying it until i remember my gpu does not have the horsepower to run it laugh.gif

Well with a TV most GC for the last 3 years could run it at 4k@30Hz through HDMI 1.4 protocol...

Running 4k@60Hz however is limited to GC or MB that supports HDMI 2.0.... which is only Nvidia's Maxwell or som Z170 MBs... or through USB C converted to HDMI 2.0....

There's also DP to HDMI 2.0 converters.... these however are rare and expensive....

Gaming @4k would require a pair of the highest-end card at least...
*
thats the reason i scraped this idea getting 4k tv, my r9 280x only HDMI 1.4 and the club3d DP to HDMI 2 even if can get one doesn't guarantee to work on older cards

upcoming new gpu from nvidia and amd i think it's the right time to jump into 4k..i would if i have the moolah lol

assume last longer as your primary criteria, but electronic nowadays nobody can guarantee. the best is buy Dell UltraSharp with 5yrs warranty. best warranty service.
*
yea if bad luck then bad luck if not will last long no matter what brand what price

upgrading from U2312HM should move to 1440p but it's not cheap
