hm  at first is Eye hurting then  use to it smile.gif ...  but later on keep using.. somehow my brain adept to small Front/size but can be change on Screen Resolution and Win 8.1 work best with 4K as better optimize For it..
olla  Samsung 28UD590 4k LCD best buy for 4K lcd at moment  with 60Fps on 4K(with display port connector)  price under RM 1.9K  but is on TN panel(also no Vesa mounting/ non curve Screen)... well is best looking TN panel i ever own.. biggrin.gif  and Size text can be change.. on Res Setting and Win 8.1 Best optimize for 4K good luck

Did you try the scaling options? Set it to 150% or bigger. How does it look like? smile.gif

I'm also tempted with 4k to be honest but probably might just settle for a good 27" AH-IPS 1440/1600p monitor smile.gif

Actually the gaming part is true haha. How's your 4k monitor running at 1080p? Does it look as sharp as 1080p content on a 1080p monitor?

1080p gaming looks bad on 28" 4k monitor eh? How about 1440/1600p?

Looks like I need to get at least a R9 290 to pair with a 4k monitor sad.gif

you bought one? pictures bro and some reviews.

where did you bought from?  biggrin.gif

Not yet but planning to get from garage sales..

Why this model instead of other cheaper models in eBay? Because of the slight matte surface, which is less glossy than other panels which are super glossy. A monitor that's glossy is a super no no for me.

with koonghx? nice bro  biggrin.gif

i've read a few reviews and the a409 is very similar with the philips 40" but better picture quality and newer connectivity options. i think the panel is the same on both.

One big difference is how glossy the Philips TV is vs the slightly anti glare AMH A409U. Anti glare is my most important criteria in a monitor so a lot of monitors are out of my list already biggrin.gif

Really need help here in getting 60hz at 4k. 30hz is fine but when I select 60hz the whole screen turns white and bottom half is flickering like mad. Any help?

Using display port supplied with the monitor, GTX760 which can definitely output 4k @60hz, did a clean reinstallation of graphics driver already

not sure about this..but most older 4k panel doesnt support 4k @ 60Hz.. only 2k @ 60hz

check whether your panel support 4k@60 hz and you are using HDMI 2.0 (not 1.4)
*
Latest monitor from Korea "AMH A409U" 40" 4K @ 60Hz monitor with 2x HDMI 2.0 and 1x DP 1.4 smile.gif

I finally solved it by creating custom resolution with "timing standard" set to CVT Reduced Black.. whatever it means lol.

Extra 4" is hardly anything. Go for something bigger like 32" or 40" brows.gif

My 40" 4k VA panel setup below which I got a few years ago. The switch from the same monitor as yours, U2311H is such a huge improvement as watching videos/movies and playing games on such a big display is orgasmic. I'm looking to upgrading to a 50 or 55" OLED/QLED display next hmm.gif

p/s: Don't mind the cable from my secondary monitor, have already ordered a longer cable to tuck underneath the table. Still thinking about the keyboard cable though hmm.gif

Looks like we still only have 1440p for 39-45inch 21:9 OLED monitors and most reviewers picked on the lower resolution. Hopefully we can get 4k next year smile.gif

Hey guys, my 40inch 4k VA monitor from AMH just broke down and I need a new monitor. Budget RM1.5k or less. Some criterias include:

1) Budget: RM1.5k plus minus
2) Must be 32 inches with 4k
3) Unsure about VA or IPS
https://youtu.be/34bqY7CToHg?t=245
4:00 onwards, not sure if applicable to current monitors
4) Usage: Media consumption (youtube/torrents so I'd greatly appreciate deep black levels), photo & video editing (something close to 100% SRGB would be great) and light gaming
5) More than 60Hz refresh rate is a bonus
6) Unsure about curved display.....

What I'm seeing in the market is the lack of IPS monitors with my main criterias (32 inches, 4k, IPS), currently looking at the following. Also, kinda hard to get any reviews sad.gif

- Viewsonic VA3208-4K-MHD (VA)
- LG 32un500-w (VA)
- Dell S3225QS (120Hz VA)
- PRISM+ C315 Max (VA curved)
- Samsung 32'' ViewFinity S7 (VA), strangely the 27" version is IPS
- Asus va32uq (IPS, 5 years old model...)
- Illegear Apex 32 (IPS, 144hz)

I'm also open to buying relatively lesser known brands since I have bought an AMH monitor before (mostly unknown) from ebay years back.
