I will be superb excited if they is 32" or 42" version. 😊
ah damn, that price lol. i tot should be same price 48inch c2 lol, like tat buy c2 better lol got dolby vision etc. But then, some ppl just use the screen for PC la. like tat maybe can only get odyssey g7 neo. Actually, is there no decent HDR monitor at 2k-3k price range?

I will not use OLED as monitor yet, current sudden bright and dark will make me crazy. 😅
I also think wont get oled as monitor lol. Because most the time monitor is also use for surfing those. Mini led is a more sensible choice. Unless really is solely for gamer lol. I see u use the g9 neo, seems nice also but i think my 3070ti cannot support lol
I decide to do a little bit changes on my Samsung Odyssey G8 Neo. The main changes is Turn Off the Contrast Enhancer as I found this make the contrast over done and deep black too black.
My Samsung Odyssey G8 Neo New Setting
Windows - Use HDR: Off
Windows - SDR Content Brightness 13 (to prevent desktop over bright when switch to HDR On)
OSD - Black Equalizer: 13
OSD - Picture Mode: Custom
OSD - Brightness: 44 (100 in HDR mode)
OSD - Contrast: 63 (100 in HDR mode)
OSD - Color: Red 46, Green 48, Blue 52, Gamma Mode 1
OSD - Contrast Enhancer: Off
Local Dimming - Auto
Btw why u get g8 instead of g7? Seems like rtings say g7 is the better of the two.
Rtings said G8 is better than G7 but Hardware Unboxed said G7 better than G8 due to one reason scan line issue.
I get G8 because I want 240hz, the G7 165hz can hit 165fps which then tearing will occured. I don't want do fps limit as that sometimes did not run well.
So is like u wan it in sync with your g9 neo. If not 165hz with VRR or freesync gsync compatible shudnt have tearing la haha. The coating wont introduce hazing? Alot review said so, owes those anti glare coating is like that.
Not related to G9. It won't impact even both different refresh rate and I not playing games across two monitor.
165hz is too easier to hit for older a bit games as I am using RTX 3080 and I do plan change to 7900 XTX in future. For 240hz no issue as barely got games can hit more than 200fps.
The coating won't introduce any hazing and I actualy like it as it is like totally no reflection issue.
I see, if got plan future upgrade then okay. I didnt play older games and 3070ti only, even 120fps is fine for me lol.
I saw alot review saying is matte type display, still will be diff compare glossy type la anyhow. Tat should be by use case basis. G7 and g8 1k diff lol.
You need Nvidia RTX 3080 and above or equivalent AMD GPU.
If you not mostly use for gaming but productively, current gaming OLED monitor all is not RGB pixel alignment which will cause text fringing issue.
yeah, so probably i more interested in the coolermaster gp27q than this. probably around 2k-ish when arrived here. also got decent review everywhere. my 3070ti cannot run 4k native lol. but with DLSS FSR still can play some game la. just that if at desktop sitting position, it is better to see everything in native.
I check from review and no londer interest. This model got side corder darker issue in all video review I had seen. From video also can seen, in actual use I can't imagine. 😅
Spec also not that good, but good is much cheaper.
yeah around 3.6k can get 43inch, for normal use. but then, 48inch c2 oled is like 1k extra lol with much better screen, wanted to use as rental room secondary TV, maybe go 48inch c2 instead.
It is only 336 dimming zones, this will happened a lot halo effect when using for productivity and also white area in dark scenes. To me it will be very annoying.
But as you said the price is very tempted!
It is cheap and has good review. Not everyone can spend 3-4k for a monitor, let alone 8-9k. At least it looks promising, every budget u get local dimming panel which is already good. At least better than hdr400 panel no? Lol
or if lucky mcm LG C3, 48" sells at $1499, but come MY becomes lower than 5k but yes, monitor market may tell a different setori. hopefully with the competition now, the pricing strategy is better. fingers crossed though
Actually is 1199usd msrp lol. Ya 48inch lg oled really bargain price, u see all those oled monitor pricing also cannot fight, even samsung miniled tv 50inch is like 5-6k pricing. My regret last yr din buy 48inch c2 at 3999 harvey norman at my town in east msia, tis yr harvey/senq no more carry 48inch, only can find in shopee which is out of reach.
https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/10381/msi...itor/index.html For HDR and local dimming, seems like the AOC does better than the Dell and Gigabyte. Msi is fake HDR (though considering Dell and Gigabyte also fare poorly for HDR as well). The AOC also does fine on the ghosting, overshoot, latency and input lag tests.
The downsides for the AOC is the viewing angles. but if you're viewing directly in front of it, i don't consider this to be a big deal breaker. Not too sure how bad is the black smearing mentioned, but it is an issue that was brought up for this AOC monitor (but when it's budget, there is no perfect monitor. The fact it does well for many things and even has mini led backlight that isn't as rubbish as the Dell, that is quite good). The gigabyte has kvm and speakers which may be useful, but when compared to everything else the AOC offers, it just doesn't feel enough in comparison.
So when can buy in Malaysia this AOC model?
Need to ask AOC lol.. really cheap if can sell even slightly higher than US MSRP
