LOL, kumpul duit lah. I save money to buy these things too. Started off with that rm400 basic plane, then slowly upgraded my way up.

If you want a small heli for training, get the V911 cost around RM100 saje.. small little thing but can take a beating, hard to break and quite easy to fly. Good for beginners with tight budget smile.gif

If I wish to start any shop to recommend me? U mentioned?

A lot of shops but mostly in KL / Selangor. DRC Toys is good. Namlee oso ok. Then got RC Smart and Hobbytech.

I have one thing ive been wondering. People that fly their quad very high in sky till you cant see it with bare eyes, do they know the gps pos of the quad or which way it is facing? Is there actually device that helps you with that?
*
They use OSD - on screen display and view it with monitors / goggle. Like this..

Not all aircraft have these, and these are not basic setup anymore.

yup their shop lot although creepy but they're nice enough to help you out. I bought my walkera beetle quadcopter there. Now upgraded to dji phantom  blush.gif

Another good shop that i can recommend is
http://www.namleehobby.com

The owner is really nice, guide you all the way. Bought my Phantom here.

How is your phantom? I flew one the other day, damn easy thumbup.gif

My concern is with those irresponsible people that does not join the community. They buy the stuffs (eg. Quadcopter) then fly it on top of people heads, on congested roads with lots of cars.. then they crash and runaway. Who will the people point their finger to? US!

That is why I urge all that want to start the hobby, please be responsible. Be friends with old RC pilots or join their club / community, fly at designated fields or places, be responsible and keep the hobby safe.

You'll get a lot more friends when you bring your aircraft to any flying fields, just ask around, plenty will be happy to help thumbup.gif

Mostly all are DIY. The expensive ones will have less to assemble and less to configure. But you will still have to assemble and configure some. If you just want to fly, bring some money, most shop will configure for you for a fee.

Save money lor.. I saved money too buy bit by bit. I don't like jogging or exercise because I'm lazy.. haha.. So by having a RC aircraft, it motivates me to go outside get some sun, then sweat will come out.. at least something healthy.

Still strong. clocking almost 10hrs on air.Really easy. Salute to DJI peoples who make it really easy to handle it.

But really itchy for the newer generation of phantom. Maybe i can only switch the receiver / transmitter (newer one upgraded to 5.2Ghz ) so can use gopro hero3 or their own fc40 camera.

Wanna ask something. Is there a way to fix a camera and make it transmit real time? The distance and all should be same as the remote but must be real time. Cause if say u fly it too far it's kinda hard to see sometimes the sun too bright also. First person perspective is much more fun too.

Just get an aftermarket 5.8 video transmitter. Cheap ones get from surveilzone. Get those bluebeam pair or cloverleaf antennas as well. I am using these combination for FPV. Longer range and better penetration go for 1.2Ghz but antennas will be bigger hehe

That is what I am using and displayed on the second and third video posted on first page. You can't pilot those aircraft and go through pondok and obstacles if you just see and pilot normally.

These are video transmitter

Then you will need something to view live video, like a monitor or goggles. I prefer goggles if flying fast or proximity flying. Relaxing flight can use monitor so I can see around.

Cheapest? Get a moderate set like this one from surveilzone
http://www.surveilzone.com/5.8g-8ch-video-...iver-fpv-ws1115
Don't forget to buy their cloverleaf antenna too, else you will start cursing because the range is too short with stock antennas!

Here is another video using a slightly superior video transmitter.
hope this gets you going laugh.gif

That's what you get with a quadcopter (or any multirotors). This one you posted runs on a 2S 850mah. 10 minutes is quite LONG flight with a multirotor. Haha.. my mini quad flies around 6 minutes before timer beeps and force me to land. My bigger quad flies for 10 minutes can push up to 13 minutes max, HUGE battery and very heavy!

Btw, that link you posted is toy grade. Save more money and quit buying those toys, get on the real 'hobby' wagon and experience real fun. Those things are just good for practicing or basic training but won't get you anywhere smile.gif

Wifi mode? Hehe can't blame you for being exposed with the iphone / android controlled toys blush.gif

The device is called the minimosd. Your camera input video to it, and the device will attach an overlay image of all the readings from your flight controller, then output it back to transmit for you to see.

Here is how minimosd looks like

oh and yes it is an add-on

apasal nak rampas pulak.. u're not buying drugs, chill lah laugh.gif
As long as not exceeding RM500 you should not kena tax. If kena tax then they of course tahan and get you to come over bring some documents and stuffs..

I kena sekali jer. The rest all bought cheap2 stuffs so excluded from tax. Buy with paypal though, if anything happens you can dispute and get money back (eg. item fail to arrive, DOA, etc).

What you gonna do with this transmitter? Not going to put this on plane / multirotor?

To answer your previous Q : Plane cheaper of course, less electronics.

As much as I want to help, this is out of my league bro. Although if you go to 'Malaysian RC' forum you will have better luck there. OR get a mini quadcopter instead.. can fly in house and outside too. No need for long runway for take off and landings too.. and it can fly!

Sorry, I just love flying things laugh.gif
