Been ghosting this thread for some time now. Really interested to replace GF and my phones with the MI3.

Could anyone give some information/review on call quality?
I am moving away from Sony Xperia S and Blackberry Bold 2 before that together with SGS2. Blackberry had the best call quality among those phones I had before.

anyone having problem with Play Store?
it keep say "no connection, retry"

It have auto touch up effect when you #lemmetakeaselfie.

that's why i wanna to flash back on that day. Even play store forced close.

so far ok using mi3 using stock build...

Geekbench 3 score result

xiaomi mi 3w

939 on single-core score
2934 on multi-score

anyone test it yet...same result?

anyone know there's a problem regarding unable to use wifi completely or related to it? and touch screen malfunctioning?

i mean saw someone complained in Mi3 malaysia facebook apparently.

just asking not complaining.

After you flash to Dev ROM, make sure you get "Google installer" from Mi Market.
Install all the relevant apps via "Google installer"

Once the relevant apps are installed, make sure you reboot your phone!

Then everything should be okay now.

and you can start enjoy few feature which Stable ROM doesn't have it.


p/s: some application will crash but just reopen will do.

edit: go to your Updater > press "Menu" button > choose "Get latest version of MIUI" > at the bottom have "Update"
if beside the "Update" have some 450~500MB, mean you required to download and install the package once more.
I just remember this, because I been into your situation for few hour and go through these step, everything is settle.

my Mi3w wifi get more signal compare to my old phone
touch screen > no issue.

guess the one complaining is the unlucky one.. but SC is there for the reason.

Want to ask any mi3 owner some question

1. How's the battery life? Heard that it's only average even with 3050mah battery.(screen on time? Talk time?)

2. Does it heat up very quickly when you game? I saw websites saying that it heats up to 40 degree when gaming and then the game will slow down(lag because they clock down the processor). I saw this case happened on tegra 4 version on some websites. Not sure about the snapdragon 800 version though..

3. Can the camera focus clearly?

4. When plugging in earphones(good quality and isolating ones), can you hear any loud static sound? Or any electric sound?

5. Is the touchscreen sensitive? Do you ever experience loss of word while typing?

This are some issues published on some website for mi 3..

Yea , but i didn't try about Baowen #2309 say.
Can try his step see anyway.

A1. battery life depends on how u use it. for me. charged 100% at 12am nite, then standby till morning,
play abit of normal game , whatsapp, line, fb, instagram, throughout the day. about 3-4hour SOT. battery still have 60+% left when 5pm.

A2. sometime it does. but 40degree is consider ok gua for phone.

A3. camera okok lo. only hard to focus at night(low light)

A4.im using xiaomi piston earphone, when plugin to mi3, got setting let me set im using that earphone to optimize the sound quality de. no static/electric sound.

A5.sensitivity is good, i apply glass SP sumore. dint notice any loss of word when typing

i cant find the google installer in mi market now. but i chk for update and got another update. updating now and reboot now.

Update here after that.
If really stabil and not really alot buggy , i will consider up to dev rom again.

still trying to find the google installer he is talking about.

EDIT: found the google installer, need to search in chinese "谷歌应用下载器". now try uninstalling all the gapps. and reinstalling using this

EDIT: install all my gapp n services using the google installer, add my google acc and everthing works fine now.

you did go check ipmart, why dun u go & check xiaomi malaysia website as well?

1. Consider okay and also depend how you use your phone + how many apps you allow it to run at background.
2. the phone is not too heat up until now and no lag at all, this is snapdragon 800, way better than tegra 4
3. this is software problem, the auto focus really ...... (but you can install google camera which is awesome![required android v4.4+])
4. I using cheap earphone, and select the optimise headset setting, the sound is superb, this is the reason why DIAC so famous
5. touchscreen is good, if you wan more sensitive , enable glove mode

Aiyo, need people experiment for you first then you only try meh...

you're welcome, now you will find more frequent apps crash compare with stable rom. (but the processor is fast, reopen just take 1sec only )
- I found 1 bug with Dev ROM is the Weather apps is now change from Accuweather to WeatherChina,
So your phone weather detail is not that accurate compare with Stable ROM.
> Even you install other weather app, your lockscreen still capturing the data/source from WeatherChina.
= no solution is found up until now and I give up already
