it is good by using metal casing - helps in heat dissemination

better don't wrap plastic
*
thought about that, but plastic only temporary.
so far charged the PB for few hours, the heat was normal only.

i wonder if use silicone cover would be worse or not
hmm.gif

QUOTE(GRexer @ May 26 2014, 02:30 PM)
Not related to the seller, but, here goes XiaoMi 10400mAh PowerBank Silicone Casing.

I noticed it earlier too. wink.gif
*
RM10 a piece.

Not bad but still pricey, ~1/4 of PB price already

Hi guys, anyone tried to stream music via bluetooth using Mi 3? I'm using the Sony SBH -50. The audio quality is good, but i can hear cracking sound when the music contain high treble notes. =(

This problem did not happen when i'm using note 3.
*
Use BT with my car's BT Headunit, sounds okay no cracking sound laugh.gif

We are being spoilt by the initial costs of the PB. I rather think of it as a RM90 unit as that's roughly what equivalent models cost.
*
that's the thing.

but saw a few at ebay selling ~RM5 a piece

Hmmm, maybe Mi 3 doesn't support Sony's bluetooth headset.. Thanks.
*
or maybe the car's BT is cikai one, so it doesn't really "detect" faults laugh.gif

But so far for me, tried BT from MP3 to Spotify songs, all very good icon_rolleyes.gif

pair with bluetooth and send all as namecard?

my understanding is, google acc is public and recognized across android devices while Mi cloud is specifically for xiaomi devices
*
There's an option to transfer contacts from another phone using BT.
Tried it yesterday with my SGS2..

Flawless..

erm, for me, don't bother if it get scratched.  smile.gif

it just powerbank, not phone, as long as it perform it job, then already fine.

metal case helps prolong the life span of battery & circuit board by quicker disseminating heat out.
*
mine not really about scratch, more like prevent from water.

you know la, sometimes yumcha at mamak with friends, put powerbank on table, then water dripping from iced water or what all over the table

I still don't get how to read the app.

If plugged to charger has a value.
But if unplugged also have a value.

So how to know which is the true value of incoming current?

Everybody so tensed, relax people.

i think maybe Xiaomi creating mirrors websites or adding servers to handle the mass influx later.
hmm.gif

Already bought few 2A wall chargers from lelong, cannot tahan the slowness of charging from 1A only sweat.gif

I read that the PB outputs at 2.1A but currentwidget is aorund 600-700mA only.
But I'm already at 93% capacity, maybe the PB circuit automatically throttles down the ampere when the phone is near full?

QUOTE(deadravel @ May 27 2014, 10:53 AM)
ya. i think xiaomi stated that when the battery almost full, they will slow down the power input,
thats why charging become slower n slower at the end. stuck at 99% never 100%  sweat.gif
*
Well, that makes sense actually.
But still a tad annoying la when you want fast 100% but slowing down at end doh.gif

2A chargers.. Hmm... I wonder if MI3 can support 3A or 4A... Because My aunt has a 3A charger for the Asus Tablet and 4A chargers for Oppo phones...

might make the batteries explode... o.O
*
Doubt so, most gadgets have protection circuits, so they only limit the max current coming in.

But the higher the current, the hotter it gets due to internal resistance tongue.gif

curious too why ups much slower compare to fedex? my pb still stuck in elsewhere while both the mi3  already arrived my doorstep by fedex.
*
My friend in FedEx mentioned that it is their SOP to clear products 3 days after receiving at depot.
Lots of them have paid OT because of this.

Maybe UPS have no such SOP

3G, wifi, gps, everything on.

Now have 28%

Not bad..really not bad..

Later want to try how long does the PB charge the phone until full

If your package is with UPS go to their tracking website & "Request Status Updates"

I found out my package was on the way then delivered through email notification while the website didn't update yet at that time
