April 2014 = Proposal to form Malaysian badminton league

QUOTE(redkop63 @ May 26 2014, 12:01 AM) I can see there are lots of young badminton players in Malaysia, but what is BAM structure to tap these talents? Who and where are the scouts that tap these talents, I'm not surprised the gems are hidden somewhere in a small sleepy town in Malaysia. I believe, the potetial players are from the small towns like football in Brazil where great players usually comes from the poorer parts of the country. There is school of excellence for badminton in MY. But as far as I know, BAM doesn't have their own academy..............they are waiting for own academy in Bukit Kiara. We have been living off LCW success for the last 10 years or more and we have stoodstill all these years and tonite is a big big wake up call for BAM. Are there any schoold of excellence for badminton in Malaysia? I don't know. What is lacking is constant opportunity of juniors to compete locally other than the 100 Plus event. I think if the proposal for national league finalises..............it will be a good step. This post has been edited by Kampung2005: May 26 2014, 12:07 AM |

QUOTE(mechazawa11 @ May 26 2014, 12:19 AM) so close, with china out of picture, that was a good chance missed, wonder if this opportunity will come again. Lin Dan may not appear for this year's World Championship, perhaps it will be a good chance for LCW to at least get the very first gold for Malaysia.LCW really no luck, olympic and world championship chinaman block, thomas cup japs gatecrash pulak. anyway really good effort by team which consist of LCW, scratch pairs and unknown singles, we were just 4 points away from the cup. What a final! |

QUOTE(sniperz @ May 26 2014, 12:34 AM) Anything that wins back a gold is good enough, bro. The Purple League could be the answer to the issue of our youth talent Yeah. But gold is always there. BAM should improve as well. It was great nevertheless. He win his part already. His already a legend. What matters is this team badminton event that's quite different. He is good, people should follow. Lolwhut? |
