1. The quality of Megahouse's figures are consistently amazing. I had the elf one, and couldn't be happier (though it cost a fair bit less)
2. If you are those 'bigger is better' collectors, then sure, look elsewhere. But, in my opinion this version of the sorceress is by far the best version out there. It's classier and the level of detail is unmatched. But yes, about the price. I wonder who decides this things. 18,000 yen is very hard to swallow. I'm still on the edge on this. I would really like to own it, but not sure whether i should take the plunge.

Orchid Seed is like a no-brainer option to me; very happy with their quality, and they are literally are a 'boobmaster', they are one of the best at sculpting *that part. Of course it still depends on which pose u like the best, there r other factors for u to consider.

If u ask me to name this 3 companies: Orchid Seed, GSC and Megahouse and ask me to rank them based on my experience, Megahouse easily ranks the last place (3rd). But it'd be to presumptive to say Megahouse's version will be bad even before release. It's not that they r bad, they produce decent figures but not quite up there with the top dogs in the figure industry.

Sigh.... added 1000 JPY to shipping cost for no reason.

I chose SAL small packet originally (I don't mind waiting longer for my parcel) to save cost, I estimate it will cost about 1700 JPY from past experience. I did my homework in checking out the box sizes and estimating how much space they will take in a SAL parcel, they should fit nicely. But Amiami told me that it's not eligible for SAL due to the size. So I grudgingly accept that maybe I was wrong in my calculations and picked EMS at 2700 JPY. When the parcel arrived, I facepalmed at how much space was wasted and that my original estimation using a SAL parcel was correct. So I paid extra 1000 JPY for no reason.

That is nothing compared to what i got from Amazon  They give the invoice some space too, and there was even no paddings of any sort.
At least i wasnt charged for the big box, but i actually like how amiami pads thieir contents because i have seen too many cases of daaged figure boxes. Amiami probably doesnt want to deal with too many damaged box complaints (which are not liable for compensation as long the content - the figure itself - is not damaged).

just to share some experience hope it might help 
well eventually my item is held by custom, not my 1st time though. i usually just use pos malaysia to settle them which is hassle free
-> go to nearest pos office & collect which is the best choice for me n most economical
-> ive tried once for pos malaysia to send it to my house but the charges r insane!      which faking make no sense, never use this option again

well this time ive try the 3rd option for the 1st time -> go n settle myself
im live in klang n driving to klia is... FAR! around 1 hour! go through 2 tolls, around rm7-9, umm ~55km maybe, so thr goes the oil for ~55km ... forth n back so 2x ...
well finding the road to the klia custom is quite easy, mostly just highway, phew phew n reach edy 

the parking is very easy n free , lots of space -> take pass go in custom -> bla bla bla process....

ok here's the awkward part, u need to take ur item to the custom officer & he will tell u to open up the item... well infront of whoever is there, several officers n sum other people that come n collect their stuff 
then the checking, verification n asking between officers n me, plus my item is a naked doll    LOL the awkwardness is over9000... [well i think it will be equally awkward if its a sexy figure or something similar XD]
well the officers thr r ok n polite, give a    here, everything is manageable.

my item have been declare lower so ive only pay ~rm48 for tax, which is a bless  . item being held is all chances, the box is very small compare to other figures/dolls ive buy which is wayyyy bigger but pass through custom.

conclusion: 2-3hours time to drive there, take item n back, toll & oil, the AWKWARDNESS n hassle through the process of claiming item, well for me its not very worth it. unless u r staying very very near to klia.
another of my thought is the chances of ur item get ''rampas'' is higher when u go claim it urself than pos help u to settle, just a thought only not 100%

dude... i don't think the customs officer actually calls you. i think it was pos malaysia asking you whether you wanted them to act as your agent to clear the goods from customs.

Yup. It is actually worth it, because, the customs release form alone is RM36, and then u drive there and back u spend on petrol...

Yes. Which is why paying poslaju RM48 is more worth it.
