Depend on where u shop. My recommendation is just go to Yodobashi Camera, easy to find, english speaking staff, lots of choices, generally below retail pricing, over 10k yen in a single receipt will waive u 8% off GST so long as u show them ur passport. However if u get too greedy and buy too much, once u landed u run the risk of getting tax by kastam, rendering all those discount that u hav saved pointless.

While there are shops that sell at retail up front (mainly for new kits), there are also lots of shops that sell at below retail prices. Yodobashi gunplas is around 30% off retail for the most part, some small private hobby shops could even fetch u 50% off.

curious on one thing. I've seen quite a lot of P-Bandai kits, are those exclusive japan only kits, or eventually seller does carry those kits but with rather limited number? I read from GundamGuy that they released a series of Seed deactivated gundams.

personally i'd fork out money for either MSes i REALLY like and kits with complex and interesting engineering that i can enjoy and admire while putting it together
i'm in a line of work that admires and studies details and construction, so i'm a bit biased like that
i'm not a fan of the RE/100 at the moment, but Mk III definitely caught my attention because i like the design.. other than that, i'm not too fond of the engineering.. if Nightingale in MG form will provide an enjoyable build and superb engineering, then yes, i would rather pay 200+ dollars for an MG

Easiest method, Alclad. Best chrome paint ever.

Black underlayer, Alclad chrome over and then lightly dusting off with soft hand brush, kautim. However u cant get Alclad in msia (i cant find 1 anywhere, if u know pls do share that info), u'll have to import it from ebay or something.
