Do your genocide achievement and once you are done, just wait at the helipad till the 72 hours end.

The megablaster will be unlocked when u start another new 72-hours mode.

I know this is old news for some of you but I just got my 360 2 weekends ago and I just got Dead Rising last weekend. Played it for almost 9 hours with some breaks in between.

Love it! I've not touched my other games the whole weekend. With that being said, I don't game everyday, mostly on weekends.

The only complaint I have is that I'm playing it on a normal TV (don't have LCD or Plasma yet) and the fonts are barely readable! Goddamn!

Is it true that the text are fine on LCD/Plasma screens?

yup it is a common problem that the text is too small/unreadable with normal crt tv

you will have no problem reading it if u got a HDTV

i heard something lame from somewhere that capcom response to this problem is:

If you dont own a HDTV, you are not even suppose to be owning a xbox360 ( something like that)

and canot go back to take the super chainsaw.... so hard to defeat the special force >.<~
the part when u suppose to get alot items to cure the zombification thing, it's so hard i nvr can complete that without my super chainsaw =(
and the special force wear bulletproof vest =( so mean.....

Eh, if you continue the Overtime mode from your 72hr game (not selecting from menu), you should still have all your previous stuff in your inventory (chainsaws and such).

Even without the mini chainsaws, its not too hard to kill the special forces people. Just get an weapon that's just as good, like the Katana or Battle Axe.
I still prefer disembowelling them though.

But generally, the best way to get by them is like how you treat the zombies: By avoiding them. Running up to them from far will just reward you with a face full of bullets.

And on how to collect the items: Start from the shopping mall, then work your way counter-clockwise through the mall. Make sure you grab lots of wine from the mall beforehand though. Getting stuck in the middle with no healing items: o noes

You also need to collect 10 queens after all the items as well. Aha. Still not too hard though. Give it another try.

i also experienced the dissapearing items when i turned off my console(eventhough i saved) before i started the overtime mode....i guess its normal

running left right left right helps to avoid bullets
and yea..thats the fastest, not to mention the most fun way to kill special forces
bare hands busting through armoured kevlar = priceless

when I first got to overtime I didn't even have the disembowel move.

what I did was to plan a proper route of attack for the items via the maintainence tunnels, ther's almost always a maintainence exit near an item.
